Is this game incredibly polished? No. But I thoroughly enjoyed it. The mechanics were simple and fun, the exploring was usually pretty worthwhile. I will do another run-through just as is to test the survival mode, but I doubt the replayability after that unless the devs add more content in the future. Its needs some TLC, but it looks like that is in the works. Some terrain clipping, had to use the unstuck button because of pesky rocks, and the grappling system needs some love. . . mostly just minor QC issues. Overall I would recommend for single player for now, I haven't tried multi but I see it has its own struggles. One note to the devs if they read these: PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF DINOSAURS fix broken quest prompts. I had no idea what I was doing end game because my final quest did not prompt me to go ANYWHERE unless I stumbled across the area I was supposed to be, then it would pop up and say, "Ah yes, this is exactly where I wanted you." Happened during a couple of mainline quests, but the ending was by far the most frustrating.
decent story, dinos are a bit buggy, fell thru some rocks and had to load back to last save, made it thru the ceo office and data drive gliched and wont load to let me to next part, overall decent game with bugs.
I honestly can't understand how anyone could possibly think this game has any potential. The missions seem like they were written by a child: open the door, enter the area, turn the power back on, find the key. Repeat. Interaction with the environment is terrible—it takes next to nothing to get stuck between chairs, tables, or other objects. Not to mention the various buttons you have to press to open doors or solve little puzzles: the controls are simply mind-boggling. I could skip over the graphics, but we’re talking about a PS3 game here. The crafting system is awful and completely buggy; you’ll have to press a button 3 or 4 times before you can actually craft what you want. The real challenge is getting through the first 3 hours of this “game.”
I am thoroughly enjoying this game with my friend. It is very adventurous and has a massive map to explore. The game definitely needs a little work with optimization and coop. Every time I load back into the game my friend spawns at the beginning with nothing in his inventory. This has become very frustrating and we no longer want to continue until it is updated. I do believe this is going to be a fantastic game from beginning to end but like i said it needs a few more updates.
