Pretty decent tower defense, though placeable tower count and map size is quite small. However, my biggest issue is the upgrade system. I don't know if I'm not far enough in the game or just missing the UI options but I can't figure out how to get duplicate cards so I can use my "Stellar Marks" to upgrade them. Art style, animations and UI all look alright. Another thing that's a little annoying is how when you start a map the wave timer instantly begins and it's not that long in the first place. Given how maps are randomly generated it's barely enough time to place 1 or 2 towers before enemies start swarming the screen. Would be really helpful if there was a pause feature that allowed tower placement and upgrades, or at least give the player 60 seconds at the start of the map to place initial towers (with an option to start sooner if done faster). Speaking of random maps, I've found that the lane paths can vary significantly such that you could get rekt on Map A the first run and then completely dominate it the next try because you get good node placement and a better chokepoint. The talent system is pretty rewarding, so depending on how you play the bonuses can be quite effective at giving you decisive victories on maps you might have lost on (or not 3 starred) previously. The summon system injects a bit of RNG in the process of progressing and acquiring towers. However, you're certainly rewarded with more items to that end by beating Chapter Bosses (i.e. boss wins are where you get summoning crystals and tower cards). Two other things worth mentioning: - Game refers to Stellar Marks as "MS" when you are awarded them from clearing chapter levels/maps. I think it should be "SM" instead? - To beat the boss you might have to actually sell a tower that's no longer firing and build another one that can shoot at him quickly in order to keep up the sustained DPS for your first Chapter 1 win.
Pay2Win towerdefense game.
