The game is an unholy blend of base defense, tower defense, roguelite elements, and some colony management. Also, mechs.

About
You try to establish a base on an island map. Enemies will attack in waves, attempting to destroy the Nexus. If they succeed, you lose. You must survive for a player defined number of waves.
To achieve your goals, you can grow clones. They can help with tasks such as growing food, collecting resources, manufacturing weapons and ammo, and conducting research.
However, clones are fragile, so you’ll need to construct defensive buildings like walls, turrets, and habitats to keep them safe.
Additionally, you must ensure your base is powered, your turrets are loaded with ammo, and you have enough storage space.
Seven metals (iron, copper, titanium, silver, tungsten, gold, and iridium) alter the properties of weapons, turrets, and other buildables crafted from them.
Before starting a new game, you can enable unlockable handicaps. These make the game more challenging and give enemies certain advantages, but in return, you earn bonus experience.
Experience can be spent to level up 32 unlockable skills, allowing you to sharpen and enhance your play style.
Gameplay is also influenced by dynamic weather conditions, and each level is set on an island featuring a unique biome and diverse climate.
In the year 2052, humanity had it all. An advanced AI persona known as Minerva managed every aspect of human life, ensuring that every need was taken care of. But then, a group of fundamentalist terrorists sabotaged Minerva, turning the AI against humanity.
As the world plunged into chaos, a group of top scientists introduced a counter AI persona named Maia to fight against Minerva. But despite their efforts, Minerva emerged victorious and proceeded to eradicate the human race.
Yet, all was not lost. Maia managed to take over a cloning facility and tasked you, Commander Class Clone #3148, with the critical mission of establishing new human outposts in remote locations around the world.

not recommended as the game crashes a few seconds after loading a game. Though this does not happen for everyone. has quite some nice ideas, though there are some annoyances. A lot of the reported bugs were already fixed Some of those annoyances are: No map / compass indicating where the base / found resource patches are. No indication when waves start and no indication from which direction. With random times between waves giving you somewhere between 5 minutes to an hour between waves Seemingly no way to autoload turrets with ammo... and you either have to drag and drop the ammo in the inventory screen or click on it then 'move to other inventory' then max to move a stack at once and then confirm it to move it. No shift / control click to instantly move to the other inventory [strike]and ammo stacks are rather low 50 for Shotguns, 100 for smg and pistols [/strike] ammo stacks were doubled To "reroll" the clone quality you have to shoot the clone in the head to kill it then you can make a new one You can set miners to ignore certain materials, they ignore your settings and go for the ignored materials anyway hitboxes on slopes can be wonky on some enemy types Starting mining beam is already the best since other materials are just worse for it (according to the displayed stats). [strike]Mining is slow and tedious as well. [/strike] Permanent upgrades can make it a lot faster though you still mainly want your clones to do it Seems like there isn't a way to add science projects to a queue so you have to check regularly so that your scientists do not waste time Can my guy change the battery in the flashlight? That thing barely works at certain times in the day since the lighting is strange. negative weather reduces turret range by up to 50% (fog) though almost all negative weather effects make it so that cannon mechs outrange your turrets if you do not have enough points in their permanent upgrades

Good bones for a game, but lacks a lot of polish. Give it some time to cook and it could be great. Can't recommend it in it's current state though.
This is the type of game I'm looking for. I see myself playing this game for hundreds of hours, I'm excited for future updates and fixes. Every new game needs some work, but I really didn't see any bugs in my first hour. This dev did pretty good. I'll post an update when I get a few more hours in!
Only played for a couple of minutes so far, but definitely worth taking a second look later. What I can say right now is that it runs smoothly and the building part works well.
Base building/turret defense game with level up skills between maps, research tech tree and mined resources; Make clones to help mine, farm, craft, and research. Waves of enemies come at unknown intervals that make the gameplay a scramble to fortify and research while adding a layer of strategy to initiate the waves of enemies while weather is in your favor or risk a random wave in the middle of a storm. I was excited about the concept when the demo became first available and have enjoyed seeing this game grow and develop to full release. Over time, this solo developer has made continual updates and improvements. There are some bugs, (I have not experienced most expressed in other reviews) but the developer has consistently been responsive and is quick to implement change. The game is reasonably priced for the content included and is fun.
A tower defence game with a lot to do. Glitches here and there but it is to be expected. The gameplay, however, is fun; case in point: downloaded game around 18:30ish last night, next time I saw the clock it was 21:51. Those who like to build up there base will find something they like. Just make sure to let the devs know about what need polishing.
Good bones and quite a bit of fun. The negative reviews are accurate, especially sora's, but I do find that for the price and what appears to be a solo dev's first go, it's actually quite good.
This game requires some serious polish and better effects for me to even continue to play it. I LOVE mining and turret defense (see my review of The Riftbreaker) but MAN! this game has some serious problems. I will caveat my review based on my limited play. I got in and immediately was not impressed. The UI is boring, the sounds are boring, and the animations are boring. This leads to a boring gameplay! I barely had a clue what I was supposed to do or how things worked and that is WITH the tutorial. I looked at my build and research options and there didnt really seem to be progression in the game either! Granted it was less than 10 bucks when I bought it but I didn't want to waste my TIME on this one when I have a backlog of much better games to play. I literally went to the store to see if this was an early access game after playing and it isn't. BECAUSE OF THAT, my review is decidedly harsh. If you were going to release a 1.0 game in this entertainment era, you need to make it better; have a fun character or animation style or enjoyable gameplay loop. I had fun run-jumping but it was inexplicably effective. I walked and ran like a human but I leapt like a gazelle! So while that was kinda fun, it was weird and clunky. The one positive I can give it was the fun design of the mining tool. Took me back to old fashioned ray guns. I can tell this game has potential which is what caused me to buy it in the first place, but dont buy it in its current state. Cons: Story UI Gameplay Animations
Miss. It should be good. Wave based tower defense and building. But the building system is terrible. Can't zoom out to see what I am building. Things don't naturally click together. First person view, Trying to put up a single segment of a perimeter wall, next to an existing segment and I can't see what is happening in any meaningful way. Get good only means something if the basic system isn't garbage. No mans sky did everything this is trying to do better, when it launched and was rough. The shooting is fine. For 2006.
