I know the developers, and I greatly enjoyed the final product. Chronoraptor has fantastic atmosphere, fun music, and an engaging story. Each level successfully escalates in complexity and intensity, and it felt great to successfully solve the puzzles. One of my only major nitpicks was that, due to the isometric camera, it became a little difficult to tell where I could go or where the correct path was. This didn't impede on my enjoyment of the game. I greatly enjoyed Chronoraptor, and I believe it has a ton of unexplored potential for a future installment.
You can die but you can't save. The puzzles are ruined. Play this if you enjoy redoing the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over... you get the idea.

Zaman yolculuğu yapan fütürist bir yırtıcı kuşun geçmişten çaldığı eserleri geri getirmek için zaman yolculuğu klonlarını kullanın.
This game is super fun with a solid gameplay hook!! I love the models and theme, and the titular raptor is simultaneously awesome looking and absolutely terrifying when it shows up haha Your character controls pretty smoothly and the main gameplay hook - rewinding and controlling time to commit Time Heists - is pretty intuitive! The only critiques I have are that I'd love to see some more varied level designs and more levels, but the game as it is is super fun and creative! Definitely recommend it if you have an hour to spare on a free game about time raptors :D
The concept of manipulating time in a game has been disappointingly underutilized as a mechanic by game developers, so when there's a game that tries their hand at it I am always eager to see it applied in new and fun ways. Chronoraptor delivers in that regard in a super clean bite sized package. The gameplay is mostly simple but will take a few tries before you feel you really have a good idea of how you can use the time traveling efficiently within an area. Once you have it down though, the puzzles are a blast to solve when you can make a really clean run through them without missing a beat. By the end though it does feel like the puzzles got a bit stale and the raptor was a strange hurdle in the sense that there wasn't really a clever way of avoiding him with the time travel. It boiled down to just spamming doppelgangers to get him off my trail but having the fear of a raptor charging you down was still fun to have. Visually the game is super clean, I may be a bit biased since i'm familiar with the Artist but truthfully the appearance of the models and animations is definitely on-point, my favorite of both being the raptor. My only substantial complaint about the game has to be the audio. I'm sure if this were to become a full-priced game the devs would address this but I will reinforce that the music, amibent noise, and sound effects really need some work. It would add so much to the experience if there was more of whats on the screen happening in the audio, and the music doesn't add the right kind of atmosphere to the game. Overall, this is a great proof of concept and I'd love to see this evolve into a bigger project with some new challenges, more context, and polish on the audio. Fantastic work Studio 73!
有趣 动画模型做的也很不错 值得体验 但是面对卡关现象还希望给一点提示 另外希望给几个存档点吧 虽然一关很短 但我第三部分过不去就要一直打前两个部分,,,
A short but interesting game that made me use my brain a bit to solve each puzzle the game threw at me. I loved how well the raptor was done despite only seeing it a few times during the game. Imagine if the you were the raptor stealing back artifacts because being a dinosaur would be more dope & awesome than a human doing it.
Chronoraptor is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from University of Utah in the USA. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. This is one of those cases where the students came so close to greatness but missed by a simple, obvious step. This game has incredible potential. You travel through time to recover artifacts from the past, which have been stolen by a time-traveling dinosaur. The core concept revolves around using time travel clones to solve unique puzzles. It's presented as a top down/ISO style perspective, fine, I guess, and the puzzles and visuals are okay too. So what's the problem? You can't save the game... so you have to repeat endlessly when you screw up. This isn't fun. This is the opposite of fun. I guess the lesson here is that students really need to playtest their homework assignments before publishing on Steam... then they might have noticed the game really needs better save features, or at least better death recovery. Testing. Not that hard. The graphics in this game are really quite good, which at least makes the game look more appealing. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. This game is fairly dated at 6 years old... it's showing a bit of age and won't give you a very up-to-date gaming experience. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.
