About
Who is this made for: Gamers who like taking their time to enjoy time manipulation sokoban-like puzzles with a text narrative story. The game starts out with traditional sokoban mechanics and then introduces the time manipulation mechanics at Level 6 (around 20 minutes into the game).
Story: They called it the Time War. A conflict where humanity's greatest achievement, time travel, became its tombstone. Born into a silent world, you are Cygnus, and your father, Kronos, has dedicated his life to one purpose: your training. This puzzle adventure is a series of his lessons (puzzles), each one a challenging test of your ability to manipulate time.
Game: This is a single-player, story-rich (text narrative), time-bending puzzle game. You use time travel to be in two places at once to solve increasingly complex puzzles. With the Chronigma device, you are never truly alone. You record your actions, travel back in time, and team up with your "Past Self" to solve puzzles impossible for a single person. Your success hinges on your ability to collaborate with yourself.
Controller Support: Chronigma supports Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch controllers natively, so no setup needed and Steam Input should be OFF. If you experience controller input not working, double inputs or wrong button icons, try disabling Steam Input (Library → Chronigma → Properties → Controller → "Disable Steam Input") and restart the game.

Recommended ✅ Easy to learn. Hard to put down. I went in expecting a simple time-travel puzzle game and came out 5+ hours later having completed every level, every bonus level, and all 17 achievements in one sitting. That says everything. The core mechanic is elegant — simple enough to grasp in minutes, deep enough to keep you genuinely thinking for hours. The puzzle design hits that rare sweet spot where you feel clever when you solve something, not lucky. A few things that stood out: The difficulty curve is one of the best I've seen in this genre. Each area introduces new wrinkles without ever feeling unfair. You're always failing because of your thinking, not the game's logic. The story transition between Pipeline and Factory areas genuinely surprised me. I wasn't expecting to get invested in the narrative, and then suddenly I was. As someone who works in game development, I'm particularly impressed by how polished and stable the experience is. No crashes, no game-breaking bugs, no rough edges — just a clean, well-built game that respects your time. If you enjoy puzzle games like Portal or Talos Principle, Chronigma belongs in your library. Looking forward to Chronigma 2. Hours played at review: 5h 15m
