Reviews
Most of the negative reviews are from the early access, so I'm not sure how the game used to be before the latest update. I'm enjoying it so much, in fact the game is pretty addicting! The story based on the history of Vinland (North American lands) when vikings arrived there to explore it. You'll have your settlement among the native Americans and try to earn their trust as well as friendship and eventually forming an alliance. To achieve that they'll ask you to do some tasks like upgrading your buildings and workshops, or give them a certain amount of resources. Some of the angry and unfriendly natives will attack you, so you need to improve your village's fence (Palisade) which I forgot to upgrade at first and focused only on the watch tower - Of course I lost a couple of encounters against the natives because of that and they stole tons of my resources. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1418916493 You have a total of 6 resources building to watch and upgrade. (Speed and Storage)

Fisherman's Hut.
Tanner's Hut.
Lumberjack's Hut.
Hunter's Hut.
Stonepit.
Mine.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1418668727 And there is the Jarl's house which improve the speed of all buildings and give influence. I liked that when you upgrade each building, the design changes. The animations are nice as well. You can see the wood being cut, and the boat bringing fish to the hut, it is a loop animation but not a bad one. Music is nice and fitting the theme of this game. Some people may get bored from clicking around but for me it is a good relaxing and casual game for people who enjoy this type of games. It is not RTS or city builder game, this is a clicker game with some strategy. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1420047073 Pros: +Nice graphics and animations. +Fitting music. +Be a friend or an enemy of the natives. +Three nicely designed upgrades for each building. Cons: -Wished for more buildings and missions. -When accepting missions, there is no way to tell what the request was other than a small icon with either a >> which means speed up the building or a box sign which means increasing the storage. Would be nice if we get an information box about each accepted mission from the natives. - There are no people walking around other than the ones who attack the settlement, I'd like to see people and more environmental stuff going on other than the current animation. -The only missions we got is from the natives, there is no main or story to follow. The achievements are a good addition and not impossible to earn- except maybe for the leaderboard one which I don't know how I got. The developer mentioned that the ranking reset every week, so perhaps I was lucky at that time. They also promised another update and an upgrade for the game, I'm looking forward to this! I recommend this game for people who enjoy casual clicker game with no actions. (If you like Plantera you'll enjoy this one)
𝐹𝑜𝑟 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑒𝑤𝑠 𝑐𝘩𝑒𝑐𝑘 𝑚𝑦 𝑐𝑢𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑜𝑟 𝑝𝑎𝑔𝑒 𝐹𝑒𝑒𝑛𝑎'𝑠 𝐶𝘩𝑜𝑖𝑐𝑒
Hello, I do not recommend this game for now:

No history
No enemies
No interest
Why go out a game where the only goal is to build 6 or 7 buildings (by the way, very pretty), with the possibility of upgrading them. The only goal is upgrade the main building to increase the speed of population increase. I saw that you intend to put several improvements: events, enemies, mutiplayer ... But what's the point in getting this game out at this point? It has no interest. I often play games in alpha or beta, I understand that the games may have bugs or not be complete but the limit is a scam (Fortunately that steam refund within two hours) It's a shame, because your graphics are very nice but that's it. I'll come back later to see if there is a quick update ... Well I mean a true output. Ps : Sorry for my english i'm french
Overpriced clicker guised as a viking strategy game. https://youtu.be/aoEIQK9S-n8 Played anything BUKA and co releases? It's exactly the same thing. Personally I don't mind them but there are many available for a much cheaper price. No strategy involved, just mindless collecting and upgrading. Good for when you don't want to think much, about it really. Can't even scroll the map at the moment which screams mobile/tablet game. Early access or not I don't see this getting fleshed out much. Nothing is wrong with it as a casual clicker, don't buy expecting a strategy game.
A very tedious and limited clicking game.
I found this game searching in the Steam city builder category and it looked promising. I thought you get to do missions or at least build more settlements, but no. You only get one tiny map with a few buildings that you just keep upgrading and click to collect the resources. Then these Indian tents give you missions to - you guessed it upgrade some buildings and give them resources. And there are also raids that steal your resources, making you constantly spend a lot of resources just to upgrade a wall and tower. There is no variation and not much gameplay; buildings just get more expensive to upgrade, more resources are required from you and those attacks get stronger (same unit just more hp and damage) and stronger slowing your progress even more. You basically have the same buildings which you take from level one to who knows where and somewhere along the line the game starts stuttering and upgrade progress gets slower. Basically, this game is just a big grind. I definitely don't recommend this unless you just want to waste time. If you want some good, modern city builders with a historical setting, try Imperium Romanum or Grand Ages Rome. Also, the way it's advertised is completely misleading. There is no story here, nor strategy, base building or resource management, not much really, just 2 screens one of which has looping animations. It's just a simple clicker.
The tags 'City Builder' and 'Strategy' are not applicable here. The game has no features any basic city building game does. There are no scenarios or range in difficulty. The Norse theme is visual only. There are defining features of the Norsemen in any aspect of the game except the design of the buildings. There is no depth to the gameplay whatsoever for it to be interesting at any level. Its more of a clicker game where you have 5 fixed buildings in fixed places generating resource to upgrade said buildings. There are no objectives. At best this game should be sold as Free to Play because as of now it provides no value for even a single cent spent on it.
Cliker/idle little game, using the old toponym “Vinland”, made by Vikings roughly 500 years before Christopher Columbus and John Cabot “discovered” Americas. Don't confuse this game with “Dead in Vinland”, which is totally different title from other developer, with much greater gameplay capabilities. Meanwhile, Chronicles of Vinland. Good things first: it is cheap, good-looking, and, at this moment, I haven't noticed any bugs like the memory leakage, which was the issue before, judging by some previous reviews. The game goals are quite obvious and simple: you have some static settlement with the generic buildings like sawmill, quarry, iron mine, fishing hut, hunter's house and leather workshop. They all creating some resources, which are totally not correlated one with other. Which means that your hunter can kill only 10 deer, and tanner can produce 10000 leather. Easily. Some resources which you need to upgrade your town hall, you can only get via trading screen. Finally, the third and the last screen showing you the map of your neighbors — local tribes, each of them have some generic missions for you, like “upgrade the lodge to tier 5” or “gather XXX of the YYY resource”. When you complete all the missions for the tribes, you incorporate them and win the game (except for reaching for the accumulation of 1 million points of reputation in the global ranking, which is needed for the most notorious game achievement). Oh, and you need to deal with scaling ravaging barbarians, which will be attacking your encampment every now and then. A small constant source of irritation, forcing you to constantly strengthen the defense tower prior to all other buildings. And that's all that she wrote about gameplay, folks. Now, about negative points. 1) The game is unoriginal in setting, in visuals, in everything that you need to do in there. And, even worse, it is not providing any challenge to play it, but the goal to “get all achievements”. 2) Generic for all clickers, second negative point is about numbers scaling. It sounds like a bad joke: “how many Vikings do you need to saw a log at a sawmill?” In case of that clicker, at one moment you'll need about 1 thousand (and then 1 million) Vikings to do the job. And you can hire them only by 5 men per click. Meaning you need to click A LOT for the next level of some building upgrade, which is Really Annoying. 3) The numbers you'll need to complete the game with all achievements, are simply ridiculous (like all other clicker games, sure, but still, it's a problem). If you do not cheat, you will spend months of your lifetime with the stupid clicking. All in all, I can give the game fair 4/10 points. The codework and visuals are good, but “Vinland” and Vikings settlement themes are not set out properly. Frostpunk, Northgard and other games are doing much better job for your buck, so please, play them instead of this fruitless time swallower.
! Jarrizard's Pros and Cons Review ! I wasn't expecting much from the game when I started it because of the reviews and feedbacks from the community. But after getting into it 2 hours deep, I was still disappointed. This is less than a clicker game and more of a tedious task with head-breaking frustrations on top of it. I don't think it would even make a decent browser game

Pros
+ Relaxing atmosphere with a decent soundtrack.

Cons
- Game lags a lot. If you alt tab, it lags even more. - So many unnecessary animations (fading of structures whenever you re-enter your settlement). - Game has no depth. Progression is just numbers going higher and higher. I wouldn't even call it upgrades. - Gameplay and art is stale. From buildings, to raiders attacking, everything is just like a gif thrown inside the game. - Uninteresting lore. Same copy-pasted dialogues over and over again from different people. - Terrible interface. The clickbox for gathering the resources is small. Bad for something as casual as this one. - You see everything the game has to offer in less than 5 minutes.
! End of review !
I finished the game, after 1,7h, with 82% Achievements. The game is ok if you see it as a clicker game but it isn't ok for a management game. This different view, of the customers and the developers/publisher, at this game overshadowed my complete review because i can't see the game as something else as a clicker game. You have to build and upgrade 8 buildings, besides deliver different ressources to the american indians to fullfill quests. 82% of the Achievements are easy to get, the last three are a different thing and you will grind MANY hours to get them. The art and animation is for a clicker game good for a management game ok. The german translation is a bad joke and, partly, hard to understand. The asked price of 20€ is absolute crazy for what they offer. I would advice you not to pay more as 1€. Based at the asked price is the rating devastating. At a price of 1€ it would be a 5/10. UPDATE: Updating my review since the game appears to be fully released now. There still is a sad lack of content. I can't recommend anyone to spend any money on this. There are only two new pieces of content:

Natives can raid your settlement. Once you upgrade your wall and watchtower a bit it becomes impossible to lose, and there's no action or control you have other than upgrading those two buildings.
Natives can sometimes give you missions to upgrade a building or to beat the next invasion.
To their credit, the developers seem to have fixed the bugs I mentioned and added interface scaling. The only new bug I've run into is that Natives give me missions to upgrade buildings that I already have at max upgrades, so there's no way to complete it. ------------------------------------ Early access review: I'm hoping for more from this game in the future but right now it's not worth buying, even at sale price. It's an incremental clicker game with no content. On the upside:

it has lovely art and animations
it runs smoothly on my old computer
On the downside:

the only thing you can do is build 9 buildings and upgrade them. 2 of the buildings don't even do anything
you can only have one of each building and only in the predetermined spots to build them
the interface doesn't seem to scale. It's annoying to try to click the tiny buttons
I ran into a few bugs, like not being able to continue my saved game, but I won't fault an early-access game for that. I hope I can give it a more positive review in the future when they add some real content, but I couldn't recommend this to anyone in its current state.
