Chronicles of Mystery - The Tree of Life

The story is better than the first CoM game, some puzzles are still too "moon logic" and there are also unnecessary dialogues. But still worths a playthrough for an adventure game fan.

Story Puzzle game. Not as fun or as witty as monkey island but it kills time. Managed to complete the game without any hints or google. Only struggled on the last puzzle with the three rings. just kept spinning till i got it lol

O jogo é uma ficção interativa. Só existe uma possibilidade de fim e os puzzles são razoavelmente fáceis de descobrir (o próprio jogo ajuda). Gráficos ok, sons ok (a dublagem podia ter mais emoção). O jogo não é ruim, mas a história é meio boba e meio óbvia. Eu daria uma nota 6 de 10 no geral.

I think I might hate this game. The graphics are horrible, you can’t change the resolution (which is terrible), the game is annoying and when I started playing I walked around and tried to click on stuff but it mostly just repeated “you can’t do this yet”. Such objects shouldn’t be clickable then. There are way better point and click adventures on Steam. Due to its technical problems and its boringness, I can’t recommend this game.

I don't mind the old school graphics, but there are some technical problems when playing. I had to scale down my desktop resolution to play this game. Otherwise everything is zoomed in and offset so that you can only see a small section of the game. The cut scenes look blocky and poorly rendered, nothing like the trailers. The writing for dialogue and voice acting are bad. They have poor flow and inflection, like someone reading a script out loud the first time they see it. Not sure if this was not a native English game or just really amateurishly done. The game feels clunky when moving and clicking on objects. Having played a ton of these kinds of games, I wasn't very impressed with this one and I wasn't very motivated to try to finish it.
