I am really enjoying the way Chilla's Art horror games evolved over the years. They started from the paranormal horror genre and in recent years dipped more into the realistic, real life horror/crime like the ones you read in news articles - stalkers, children disappearances, and in this case, the act of kidnapping, and severe parental neglect. You play as a country-side small town elementary school child who has being severely neglected by his mother. Chilla's Art tried to show the hardships a child experiences when you have a parent who is highly irresponsible. This is one of Chilla's art's more story-oriented horror game. I would say it's lighter on the horror side, and more on the character building/story telling. In one section of the game it even became a bit of abstract/using the unreliable narrator storytelling. I actually quite enjoyed the way the drama/story is constructed in this entry. I don't remember playing as a Japanese elementary school kid in any of Chilla's Art's previous games, so this was in a way a fun and new experience playing their games. Kinda reminds me of my own upbringing as well, so kudos to Chilla's Art. I was able to complete this game in about 90 minutes, seeing two endings, one (good?), one bad, and I think there are two more bad endings I can do. So you can probably finish the game completely in about two hours.

just about "okay" - significantly stronger than Parasocial, but here too, the great art of Chillas Art shows that cool ideas are simply horribly executed and there is absolutely no sensitivity to stylish horror... or people, the dialogues and behaviors of absolutely all the characters in each of their games are always so incredibly stupid, far removed from any logic, that it simply destroys any form of atmosphere. Unfortunately, this goes so far as to completely destroy one's own story theories
The beginning was honestly absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was built up really well and I genuinely thought this was finally going to be one of the better Chilla’s Art games. Unfortunately after that the game completely falls apart and goes right back into the typical Chilla’s Art formula, creepy old guy, stalking and then an ending with a kidnapping without any real twist or anything interesting being done with it. Anyone who has played a Chilla’s Art game before already knows that the characters rarely have much depth or act completely logically, but here every single character behaved so unbelievably irrationally that at some point I wasn’t even annoyed anymore and just started laughing. Because of that the game loses almost all of its atmosphere. And honestly I don’t think anyone really knows what the clown was supposed to be. Sure, you could say it represents the psyche or imagination of a child, but in my opinion it was just poorly executed and didn’t work at all. That is what makes it so disappointing with Chilla’s Art because they constantly show that they have good ideas and could actually write genuinely good stories. But it feels like once you reach the halfway point everything becomes completely absurd again, the characters start acting unbelievably stupid and instead of building interesting horror it just turns unnecessarily trashy. The worst part is not even that it becomes trashy, it’s that the entire time you can feel there was potential for something much better.
Decent little horror game.
PLEASE get your trash bags out the house! Rules for trash in Japan might sound insane but I swear it's really easy!!!!!

I really enjoyed the story in this one, even if the premise of it is a bit sad. I do think the dev went a bit overboard with the dirty house but I do also understand why it was created in that way.
I would definitely recommend this game as one of your first Chilla's art plays. Its not the scariest game but its still very thrilling and very emotional. However, there were some cons to it. here's a list of a few things i enjoyed about the game, and things i didn't enjoy as much. For starters, with things i enjoyed, i loved how the game wasn't too long or too short, it was the perfect amount of time for all the content consumed. a couple other things i enjoyed was how interesting the story was and how fun the gameplay was. There was a handful of fun puzzles, which really made the game more interesting to play. Moving onto things i dint enjoy as much, the game didn't have much guidance at times, and sometimes it was hard to figure out what to do. There isn't really anything else negative to say about it aside from that, so i hope this review comes across as helpful to anyone who is thinking about purchasing this game! - Shelby the worm
