I don't jive with this one. There's just something about it that doesn't sit right with me, the vibes are off. The controls don't feel right and something just seems off about everything. I know it's a free remake of a cereal pack-in Doom clone, but it feels, plays, and looks cheap even for a free game. The game is super easy and there's no difficulty selection. There's no subtitles and it's hard to hear the voices even when you turn down the other volume settings, not that there's much worth listening to in terms of dialogue. The game feels slower to play than it should for a Doom clone remake and there's also no permanent sprint option. I also didn't like the level design. It's worth noting I have no nostalgic attachment to the original as I never played it, but I have seen some footage of it and it seems better than this.

Still better than CoD

This is a nostalgia-inducing game. My only complaint is that the OG Chex Quests aren't included as part of a compilation. Still, not bad for free.

Very mid remake, just play the original
