Chessformer is a grid-based puzzle platformer with Chess pieces. The goal in each level is to capture the opposing king, who is lazy and never moves, so don't worry about losing any pieces.

Juegazo, queremos que saquen más niveles
---------------- As of 25/7/13, SteamDeck verification status is not supported, but all 48 puzzles worked fine with SteamDeck. This report is for those who want to play on Deck as I think it is suitable for portable devices.
Fun and puzzling.

make MORE levels!!!!!!!!
great game, satisfying and challenging, but not difficult.
tiny lil puzzle platformer where the gimmick is that a different game has been turned into a puzzle platformer. no tutorial, but the first few levels are very simple so you'll be able to figure out how to play as long as you know what chess is (even if you don't it should make sense soon enough aside from pawns) the way the pieces interact with gravity and walls is as unique as in chess: rooks can leap great distances but can't climb, bishops can reach high places easily but can't traverse tunnels, kings can crawl through tight spaces but can't cross any gap, knights can teleport into places not even queens can reach but get stuck in square rooms, and pawns can only go up until they reach the top of the screen. later levels introduce gimmicks such buttons and doors or locks and keys (including one level where you have to avoid the keys, of course) but the most fun levels for me are where you have just a lot of pieces in a pit and you have to build a tower to get them out. figuring out which pieces should go on the bottom or just how to build the tower at all is quite satisfying. yes, it's very very short but the sheer novelty alone makes it worth playing. it's chess but good.
Lovely little puzzle game bit short, but doesn't overstay its welcome. Worked ok on Steam Deck.
