This game is awesome! What a way to combine my two favorite games! Chess & Pokemon like RPG? COUNT ME IN!

Charming game that is a blast for chess players. World and NPC's feel pokemon like, while offering a unique twist on chess puzzles. Bots can be challenging at times (1300 elo on standard chess) which pushes you to improve on your skills or strategically use your items to make progress. On top of all of this, the art is charming and has a soundtrack to match. Some of the dialogue has gotten genuine laughs from me, you can tell a lot of love went into this game. Overall, I would recommend it if you love chess puzzles and variants and want a game that challenges you to be a better chess player.

Really fun if you enjoy pokemon and chess, but I think the best part of the game is the puzzle challenges with odd mixes of pieces. There are puzzles where you fight a whole row of queens, only rooks, etc... The ELO scales crazy sometimes, but items give you the needed advantage. Playable even if you're bad at chess (like me). Sometimes a little rough around the edges, but the core mechanics are well polished. I love this game so much and I hope the dev continues to update it. Clearly a passion project.

Criminy, I am bad at Chess... But y'know? I feel like maybe this might be the first step on my road to, uh... NOT being bad at Chess. No hand-holding like other Chess video games have (unless you want it, and you can enable it) it's just you and the game. If you blunder and die, it's your own fault; get better, win on your own or not at all. I've only played 40 minutes now, but just the first few foes kicked my butt six ways to sunday. For five dollars? It's a good little Chess-teaching tool!

There's a solid concept here and love for the game, but the world is flat and ultimately pointless. Calling this an RPG is abusive to the genre.

im gonna rate up cus if ur a chess player u might enjoy this just a lil idk boring. dont know what the twist was. blanks and other stuff dont make up for it

As someone who isnt very good at chess but likes watching chess streams, this bridged the gap of fun without having to be overly stressed. The differences in chess games made the game not repetitive and exploring the world added things to do rather than just playing chess. Will be following the development on this game!

Super neat concept for a pokemon esk chess game. I've been wishing I had something EXACTLY like this to play for a while. Hope to see more things added over time to it :)

This is great!!! If you've never played chess this is a perfect way to learn and I like how you can choose between multiplayer and play against the AI 🃏
