About

Meet Charles, your everyday pollen bee, harboring an extraordinary passion for dance. With your assistance, he'll pop and lock on a treacherous journey across multiple landscapes, confronting the finest dancers they can muster. Ultimately, his eyes are set on the glittering prize: The Golden Bee Trophy.

Unfortunately, dancing doesn't exactly bring home the honey, especially when you're a bee with yet-to-be-proven talents. Thus, Charles juggles the world of dance with his day job, gathering pollen to fund entry into esteemed dance clubs and to dress himself in eye-catching attire. Can you have an adventure without a love interest? Yes, you could. But this adventure one has one anyway! Charles has been desperately trying to impress Beeanna, a girl (bee) from his hive.

Custom Song? Custom note chart? Custom Art? Whatever you have, you can easily import into our game and see your creation come to life! We supply a tool that can help you make the note charts as well!

Why did Charles the Bee become the buzz of the hive? Because he always knew how to bee in charge! 🐝👑
The art style is great for the game play/audio combo here. This is a casual DDR experience which would be great for a younger audience or someone looking to get into rhythm games. As we already talked about, there are some mapping/timing issues, which once these are addressed the main game play loop will be rock solid. There were a few minor bugs I ran into but we already discussed those using the feedback/bug tracker (which is a pretty useful tool to include). As for the songs, there is a decent variety here, although the demo version may not be long enough currently to hook someone with just that alone. Especially with the shorter track lengths. Overall, I would recommend this for newcomers to the genre, with the caveat of once the mapping/timing is fixed, if not this may frustrate newcomers.
Poor Charles =(

first off i must say i love bees! this game is so fun! every time i heard a new song i thought it was my favorite! great music paired with a cute story. cant wait for more content to know how charles' adventure continues
I really enjoyed Charles the Bee for its adventurous take on the rhythm genre. I am a casual rhythm game player and I had a lot of fun playing through all the levels in the story mode and meeting all the different bees. Trying to beat my high scores in arcade mode was my absolute favourite and it was great to be able to savour all the brilliant music tracks at any time. I had some issues with note calibration at the beginning but once I figured out a sweet spot it seemed to be smooth sailing. Loved the artwork and the colourful/cute combination the game went for. I find it is less intimidating for someone that enjoys a more relaxing take on the rhythm genre. Looking forward to more content updates in the DLC!
this game wus very good i love it
