Yes, the concept and many mechanics are borrowed liberally from Xortex, but this expands on it to make it a more replayable game Chamber 19 encourages moving around your playspace to a greater extent than does Xortex. There's a good variety of different enemy types, and the waves can get quite challenging. Xortex seems like a tech demo/minigame, while Chamber 19 feels like fairly well-rounded casual game. Price may be a bit steep, and the graphics aren't quite to the level of Xortex, but still worth it for the amount of fun to be had jumping in for a random game. Highly recommended if you enjoyed Xortex or bullet-hell games in general.
It's a crappier, less fun version of Xortex (which is free as part of "The Lab" if you didn't know), so skip this and go play that instead. Chamber 19 isn't HORRIBLE, but it is below average. At $15 USD it's a joke. At $2, I'd still say go play Xortex instead. 2,000+ games on my account and I think this is the maybe the 2nd time I've removed a game from my account.

Whenever you die it restarts, which wouldn't be a problem if it didn't plaster a big yellow headache-inducing banner for "OSVR" locked right in your face for 7 seconds. If this were the only problem I could just remember to close my eyes every time I die (ugh) but the game itself is horrible, mainly there are no explanations for a lot of the things in game. When upgrades come on the screen they are instantly collected so I don't know what they have done for me, and there is a sphere in the center that does something? Not worth even the sale price.
The game is fun, but very unfinished. The room that is played in needs a graphical update badly. It was updated recently, but I unfortunately think it got worse. Now, a large controller and instructions for how to pause the game stay up in the room (about as large as the player) the entire time! That really needs to disappear while playing. I don't want to see a huge controller and instructions while i'm playing. If the game gets a graphical update that fixes these problems, I'll update my review. For now, I've changed my mind and I don't recommend the game in this state.
GOOD and cool game :) with upgrades when you get better score....and plz develpors of this game fix the malware bug my antivirus says its a malware

Do you have what it takes to pilot a drone through waves of enemies? Collect power-ups to take on increasingly difficult levels and bosses! Check out the full review here: https://youtu.be/gN4dp2v_dsk
This is one of countless VR titles I got as part of super cheap bundles. You grab and pilot a ship with your hand, dodging attacking ships and their projectiles. It’s a bullet hell game, there are so many projectiles that it gets really tough to find routes to move your hand without getting hit. Graphics are nice, maybe a tad dark for me. Environments are pretty neat. Plenty of variety in the enemies, bosses, and unlockables to keep things interesting. All that being said, combat seems to lack that certain oomph to make it feel heavy and significant; it’s more like you’re just pointing at the enemy until they go away – not firing high powered lasers at them. That makes it play worse and less satisfying than some other similar games. This is a fine game, but not worth the $15 in my eyes. It's a decent game for the tiny price I paid though, so... Thumbs: UP!
