Chainless

Игра 'Chainless' - это глоток свежего воздуха в жанре платформеров. Инновационная система передвижения, основанная на цепях, позволяет почувствовать себя настоящим акробатом, парящим над уровнями. Механика требует привыкания, но когда освоишься, получаешь невероятное удовольствие от динамичных прыжков и захватывающих полетов. Графика выполнена в приятном минималистичном стиле, не отвлекающем от геймплея. Саундтрек отлично дополняет атмосферу, усиливая чувство скорости и азарта. Уровни хорошо продуманы и сложны, но всегда ощущаются честными – любая ошибка, как правило, результат неверного расчета, а не несправедливости игры. Боссы – отдельная тема для разговора. Каждый из них представляет собой уникальную задачу, требующую не только ловкости, но и стратегического мышления. Победа над ними дарит ощущение настоящего триумфа. Несмотря на сложность, 'Chainless' не вызывает чувства разочарования. Игра мотивирует становиться лучше, экспериментировать с тактиками и оттачивать навыки. Рекомендую всем любителям хардкорных платформеров, ищущим что-то новое и оригинальное. Это действительно игра, которая заставляет почувствовать себя свободным.

"Chainless" is a lame VR tech demo where you swing on chains through a low poly Unity Asset Store town asset, and discover that VR exclusivity does not make asset flips any better. It's a pointless little tech demo, and nobody likes asset flips. The game graphics look better than you might expect (even if it is just one of the low poly town assets they ripped off), but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $5 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

Headset used - Oculus Rift S It's a fun game to kill a few minutes in and get a sweat going. It was hard at first but then I discovered the power of launching yourself really high and far by just moving the controller fast and letting go of a chain, this added more fun to it and made me play for a few minutes longer. This is more of a time killing thing then anything but it's free and I came across no bugs so its hard to go wrong here. 6/10

I will be removing this from my account. This can get a thumbs up because although short & free, it could provide some level of "replayability" for those wanting to beat high scores. It plays quite nicely, the intro is really what I enjoyed the most. & the chain to chain part... Yup. Enjoy!
