Celente Immortal is one of a handful of low effort retro-pixel Pixel Game Maker MV asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker aligned Pixel Game Maker MV video game construction kit... in Kadokawa's own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker/Pixel Game Maker MV "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality assets (or canned assets from Pixel Game Maker) coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. As with all Pixel Game Maker MV games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of Pixel Game Maker MV is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development, as the "developer" has done here, with the unfortunate result of polluting Steam with garbage. Like most RPG Maker/Pixel Game Maker MV shovelware and construction kit flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. Pixel Game Maker MV is an absolutely terrible construction kit, not least because it's underpinned with the equally garbage Cocos2D disaster engine, and just like Cocos2D, never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers. This crap construction kit/asset flip has you running some crappy pixel characters around hideous looking tilesets doing action/JRPG gaming through a completely disastrous, badly written fanfiction featuring the developer as the main character (Oh, aren't all amateur developers always suffering from "I'm The Main Character" syndrome?) and his various waifu's and so on. Really, really terrible stuff that you would expect to find in a junior high school locker while the jocks shove him into it, rather than here on Steam. A long winded way to explain just how bad it is, but that's important for gamers to know the only things in this garbage that didn't come from Pixel Game Maker MV are considerably worse than everything that came from Pixel Game Maker MV. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the game all-time peak player count was only ONE player. That's right, only one person ever played this at a time. When I played this for the purposes of reviewing it, I equalled the peak player count for the game. OUCH. The only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Celente Immortal has the far too high price of around $4 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.

Developer Response!
The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the Developer Usage Rules for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:
Though it may be tempting, not every review needs to be responded to. A developer response will frequently draw more attention than the original statement, potentially turning a small issue into a much larger community discussion. It's also not a good idea to use this feature to refute customer opinions. Your direct attention can be seen as validation or a defensive attempt to silence your customers.
The developer falsely claims the facts of my review are debunked; This is an outright lie from a stalker and cyberbully who dedicates his time to harrassing game reviewers, such as the toxic link in his response. Every fact contained in my reviews stands with evidence and is utterly solid and undeniable truth.
Online Stalking and Harrassment
The developer here has initiated and participates in an orchestrated program of stalking and bullying. The developer is attempting to publicly cyberbully and intimidate me by posting links to a hitpiece full of completely false information crapped onto Reddit by another, even less successful developer. This is harassment. If I posted the same information about the developer, I would immediately be banned from Steam. Why has the developer resorted to such toxic behaviour? Because I wrote an honest and frank assessment about an objectively bad and failed product. It's an objective failure rejected by gamers, confirmed by SteamDB figures for the failed game, and for the other reasons I supplied in my accurate review. Certainly, the hitpiece the stalker/developer here has linked up are false and misleading (for example, I've given positive reviews to 2D indie games in the past, but the "developer" here chooses to lie about such facts), but cyberbullies don't care about facts, they just want to intimidate and attack those for providing the truths the developer can't emotionally accept. This unhinged, unstable and harmful behavior from the developer is utterly unacceptable, and is a chilling attempt to silence the truth. Now, you can look at the objective facts of my review, and then have a look at how this reviewer is attacking and intimidating reviewers, and suddenly the overwhelming rejection of this garbage construction kit/asset flip makes perfect sense. I will not be intimidated or silenced by stalkers and bullies.

its hard but kool not finished tho but hopefully soon kept me busy for a few very sad how short it is
This game surprised me. Wasn't sure what to expect with the $4 price tag. But I definitely got my money's worth. The heavy emphasis on stamina management and kiting during combat make for a good challenge. Have to fully understand enemy attack patterns and the timing/reach of your basic attack or skills to be able to dish out damage and avoid it. The story was quite humorous. And it was neat to be able to recruit party members that provided you with a combat skill and a utility skill. Like lockpicking chests, talking with animals, etc... Could definitely use some quality of life improvements like skipping dialogue sequences, more tutorial sign posts, and retry encounter. But I'm still looking forward to next episode/part that will be releasing for the game. As for the target audience of this game, this is not for the faint of heart. My description of the combat basically put's it in the territory of Souls-likes. So for people who like those games they'll feel right at home with the challenge this game provides. I spent 3.5 hours alone on the final boss for this part of the game.
