[u] Update Oct 23 2023 [/u] Updated Review after hints implemented and increased zoom. I still cannot recommend this game. I played a few more levels and I will admit the zoom button has been increased and is much better than before. But the hints are audio clues of a cat mewing to let you know somewhere in the general area your missing a cat. This would be okay if the area was not 30-40 separate artworks scattered about on a field instead of one cohesive scene. With the scenes so dis-jointed the mewing sounds like it is coming from all over. What this game needs is a hint button, not audio cues. And the audio cues are always playing even when your not stuck. A hint button would be better, you press it when you need it. It is not automatic. The rest of the points still stand that I made earlier. I understand this is this dev's first game and I hate keeping the review negative as they are trying. But I have to be honest in my experiences. I re-purchased this game to give it another go. I will not review this game again in the future as some of my issues are not fixable such as the scenes having no cohesiveness. This is just the design of the game. Some people may not mind the issues I have experienced and will still enjoy the game as it is. This is just my opinions from someone who has played many games in this genre. I have included a screen-shot to show people what a level looks like. It looks like a menu where you pick a scene to investigate but it is the scene, broken up and all over the place. Chaotic to navigate. This scene alone has about 40 mini artworks to look at. This can get tedious as the areas get larger and larger to explore and the scenes are scattered all over and not one cohesive scene * When you find the cats they will slightly move to show they have been found. What would have worked better is for them to stay high-lighted or grey out. * Very limited features. The game is meant for a smaller resolution so resize your window, zoom out and you will see a gear icon at the bottom left on the main menu. The only things changeable are audio and full or windowed.

"Опять эта кошачья дребедень!" - вздыхают раздраженно читатели, на что я спешу Вас заверить, что закрома поиска любителей Вискаса... ну или что там у нас сейчас едят по импортозамещению, стремительно опустели, и на Cat Spotter я, пожалую, сделаю перерыв. Собственно, по сабжу. Cats Spotter - дебютная, насколько я понимаю, игра студии Catnip, в рамках которой еще только набивался первый опыт в разработке подобных point-and-click. А первый блин, как мы знаем, зачастую выходит комом. Увы, так вышло и в данном случае. [u] [b] ๑۩۩๑ ГЕЙМПЛЕЙ ๑۩۩๑ [/b] [/u] Итак, Cats Spotter. Головоломка с элементами point-and-click на поиск пушистых любителей кошачьего корма. В отличие от серии "Cats Dynasty", здесь нас ждет абсолютно простая, бесхитростная вариация кото-поисковухи на свободную тему. Каждый уровень представляет собой локацию разных размеров. Это может быть как небольшая комнатка всего на пол-экрана, так и огромная локация города, по которой придется с боем пролетать раз за разом в поисках спрятанных мурчал. Локации в игре самые разнообразные - это и комнатные интерьеры, и панорамы города, и морские пейзажи, и даже небеса и космос. В общем, куда только котиков не заносит. Многие места на локациях обладают "псевдо-динамикой". Иными словами, когда Вы прикасаетесь к чему-то курсором, это место начинает шататься и ходить из стороны в сторону. Имейте в виду, что на целом ряде уровней на этой "фишке" будет завязан поиск как минимум парочки не очевидно спрятанных котов. Примечательно, что в игре НЕТ системы подсказок. Вернее, почти нет. Если в Cats of the Dynasy мы привыкли, что есть специальная кнопка, по нажатии которой нас моментально перенесет в ту или иную локацию, то здесь, неожиданно-неприятный сюрприз для казуалов - кнопку не предусмотрели. Разработчику тут же начали строчить, как же так, как мы должны отыскать 40 котят на таких больших пространствах?! Разработчик не растерялся, и тут же ответил, что система подсказок в игре все же предусмотрена, но не такая, к которой привыкло большинство. Если Вы вдруг не знаете, где именно притаился хвостатый монстр, попытайтесь прислушаться. Если Вы находитесь близко к тому месту, где спрятался кот, то услышите характерное мяуканье. Многим такая фишка не понравилась, а мне, напротив, очень даже зашло. Казалось бы, простенькая игра про котиков - что тут может пойти не так? Лично я вижу две реальных причины для отрицательного отзыва. [u]1) Поломанное масштабирование.[/u] Как уже писал выше, локации в игре разного размера. И если на небольших местах можно спокойно просмотреть все, не крутя колесико мыши, то с увеличением территорий приходится приближать те или иные места для более детального осмотра. И вот тут-то и обнаруживается неприятный баг - при сильном приближении камера игры может внезапно дать крен и съехать совсем в другую сторону. Необъяснимо, но факт. Как и почему такое происходит - непонятно, но играть на больших локациях из-за этого становится мучительно неприятно. [u]2) Найденное не выделяется.[/u] Казалось бы, много ли надо для счастья при поисках виртуальных котов? Отыскал, пометил, двинулся дальше. Но вот беда - дело в том, что найденные Вами коты никак не отмечаются. В "Котах Династии" эту проблему своевременно решили цветовой обводкой, таким образом найденного пушка Вы уже ни за что не спутаете с прячущимся. В Cats Spotter же разработчики приняли максимально неудачное решение - анимировать найденных котов, таким образом обнаруженные потеряшки будут слегка покачиваться из стороны в сторону в стиле заправской неваляшки. Решение очень спорное, ибо на больших локациях разглядеть, где найденное добро, а где еще не отысканное становится до неприятного тяжелой задачей. Все указанные косяки не раз озвучивались игроками в темах обсуждений сообщества. Разработчик обещал обратить внимание на пробелы и заделать их как можно скорее, однако прошел уже почти год - а воз и ныне там. По части графики и музыки здесь все максимально простовато. Рисовка, независимо от локаций, выдержана в одном стиле, за что художнику отдельный респект. Звуковое сопровождение приятное, но сильно ничем не запоминается, кроме, разве что самого мурчания котов. Думаю, этот звук можно с уверенностью назвать фишкой разработчиков. Игра языко-независимая, так что знания английского и китайского Вам здесь точно не пригодятся. Зато имеется из 25 достижений по количеству уровней Steam. По контенту Cats Spotter, вероятно, пообъемней любой игры из Cats Dynasty, однако, с учетом вех косяков, недоделок и особенностей ценник все равно считаю завышенным. Can you spot all 600+ meowing cats on this huge map? It's not as easy as it sounds...believe me! Cats Spotter by Developer Catnip Studio When you find the cats they will wiggle and stay that way to show you they have been found. There are hints?? But the hints are audio clues of a cat meowing to let you know somewhere in the big general area is a hidden cat. Having a hint button that you can decide when you need help and press it at your convenience would be a nice addition instead. Then it could show you closer to where you need to go and would be more beneficial. My suggestions are: Get rid of the running water sound so we can enjoy the wonderful music. Also when I click on a scene, sometimes it takes me to a different one. When you get further into it, some of the scenes start getting smaller and hard to see. Seems like a big map with lots of cute kitties to find. But I was MISTAKEN! If you look right above the paw (above picture) and see a cat in a small boat, it moves when I click on it but stops moving when I stop. I hear meows around that area. It was NOT a bug! I just needed to go over to the left a few scenes and crazy click to find it by accident. Also the game could use some more improvement with the cat hints though. And also when I click on a scene, sometimes it takes me to a different one. Some of the later levels (level 18 for example) could use more zoom time as they are too small to see the details clearly. Level 24 could use some polish, when I click it, it moves me to the other side of the map making it hard to see or click on. Rating: 9/10 Final Thoughts: This one can be a little tough, so take your time and you should be able to find them all. I think...Maybe. Well, good luck finding them all! Keks- und knackig gesagt... ...sehr süßes Wimmelbildspiel mit Kätzchen. Viele Reviews kritisieren, daß es keine Hilfe gibt. I dont get the negative reviews , many people seems to have problems already on the 4th level (ok it gets a little harder but seriously not impossible) because there's no hint in this game You really have to be a cats spotter , have some patience and you can finish the game in around 1 hour and a half PRO - art style , a little harder than the average NEUTRAL - no help no hints CONS - a little overpriced even if already at 15% launch discount

游戏画风很可爱，一个人制作美术使用ai可以理解，可以看出制作者是个真正养猫的人，很多猫躲藏的位置身为铲屎官的我看到都会会心一笑，游戏音乐也很舒服，我把游戏最小化，游戏音乐可以直接当作轻音乐来用了。后面比较大的场景刚开始找起来是比较费神，更新之后有猫叫声提示，心态放松还是可以的。对于独立制作人还是要鼓励的。

I love these cute little hidden cat games, unfortunately, at the state this game is currently in I simply do not recommend. Very buggy. The art style is cute, but doesn't save it from the technical issues. I have had my purchase refunded. Hopefully it will be better in the future.
