Прикольная, нетрудная, короткая игра про нахождение кошек.

Cat Search in Medieval Times, developed and published by Simon Eftestol, is a charming and minimalist hidden-object game that invites players into a tranquil medieval world filled with cats cleverly concealed within detailed hand-drawn environments. Released in April 2023, it stands as a testament to the appeal of simplicity in game design. There are no complex mechanics or frantic time limits, just a relaxing journey through an artistically crafted setting where patience and observation are the only skills required. It is a game that relies entirely on atmosphere and discovery, delivering a calm and satisfying experience for those who appreciate visual exploration over challenge or competition. From the moment the game begins, the artistry of its presentation captures your attention. The environment is a lively depiction of a medieval town brought to life through detailed 2D illustrations. Each area feels alive yet peaceful, populated with small architectural nuances, weathered stone walls, cozy taverns, and winding streets. The attention to visual texture gives every scene character, creating the sense that the world itself is a painting you’re slowly exploring. The cats are seamlessly integrated into these backdrops—sometimes obvious and sometimes almost invisible—each hidden with care so that spotting them feels genuinely rewarding. They might appear as a faint outline on a rooftop, a flick of a tail behind a barrel, or a pair of eyes glinting in the shadow of a stable. The game’s art direction transforms what could have been a simple scavenger hunt into a meditative act of observation. The gameplay loop is straightforward yet addictive. Players are tasked with finding 120 hidden cats scattered throughout the environment, along with a handful of hidden posters that provide additional clues. Every discovery contributes to the satisfaction of completion, but there’s no pressure to rush. The lack of timers or score systems encourages a slow and mindful approach. You can take as long as you wish to explore the scene, zoom in on details, and appreciate the composition of each area. The sense of progression is subtle yet effective—the more you find, the more you realize how cleverly the developer has designed each location to balance difficulty and clarity. Some cats are hidden in plain sight, while others are blended so well into their surroundings that you can pass by them several times before finally noticing them. The overall tone of Cat Search in Medieval Times is one of relaxation and curiosity. Unlike most hidden-object games that rely on fast-paced clicking or cluttered screens, this game takes a more elegant approach. It gives players the freedom to observe and engage at their own pace, rewarding patience with small moments of discovery. The absence of dialogue, storylines, or complex puzzles focuses attention solely on visual engagement. This simplicity becomes its strength, as it invites players to slow down and lose themselves in the peaceful rhythm of observation. The soothing background soundscape complements the gentle visual design, creating an experience that feels more like interactive art than a traditional game. The technical performance of the game is equally commendable. It runs smoothly on virtually any system, with minimal requirements and quick loading times. The user interface is clean and intuitive, ensuring that nothing distracts from the act of exploration. At the same time, the game’s affordable price point and positive reception make it an easy recommendation for players looking for a short, relaxing diversion. The developer’s attention to accessibility shows in the design choices—everything from the simplicity of interaction to the use of clear feedback when a cat is found. For completionists, the inclusion of Steam achievements tied to specific milestones adds an extra layer of motivation without compromising the laid-back spirit of the game. That said, the game’s minimalism also defines its limitations. There is no evolving challenge, storyline, or significant variation in gameplay. Once the novelty of searching wears off, players might find the experience repetitive, especially during longer sessions. However, this repetition is less a flaw and more a reflection of the game’s identity. Cat Search in Medieval Times doesn’t strive to deliver dramatic progression or narrative complexity; instead, it embraces stillness and simplicity. It is best enjoyed in short bursts or as a relaxing break between more demanding games. A few players have noted minor issues, such as the occasional bug in tracking discoveries, but these are rare and don’t significantly impact the overall experience. Despite its simplicity, the game possesses a quiet elegance that sets it apart from other hidden-object titles. The medieval theme is handled with subtle humor and warmth, offering a glimpse into a world where everyday life and whimsy coexist. The hand-drawn art style and the deliberate pacing encourage mindfulness and visual awareness, giving the player a sense of calm that is increasingly rare in modern gaming. It’s a reminder that not every game needs to overwhelm with systems or spectacle—sometimes, all it takes to engage players is a well-crafted setting and a clear purpose. In the end, Cat Search in Medieval Times succeeds precisely because it knows what it wants to be. It delivers a short, soothing experience built around simple discovery and appreciation of detail. There is no competition, no urgency, only the joy of finding hidden life within a peaceful medieval world. It’s the kind of game that invites you to relax, smile, and take in the small pleasures of observation. For fans of hidden-object games, casual gamers, or anyone in search of a calm and visually delightful experience, Simon Eftestol’s creation is a gentle and memorable journey worth taking. Très mignon :)
You play new Battlefield 6. I find hidden cats.
honestly feels like this was made with AI (I know it says hand-drawn but it irks me). otherwise its ok, but there are so many better games with the exact same format but executed better, also by indie developers. easily finished in under 5 min though. you decide if that's worth 1 Dollar or not i guess, not really for me but to each their own.
Good hidden cats.
