I'm not really the target audience for this. I'm not really into 8bit retro-gaming. I'm not really into platformers. But still. This game somehow really works for me. I can't help but laugh at myself when frying the cat over and over again. The platforming itself feels tight and intuitive, and at no point did I feel like I didn't deserve exactly what just happened. I'm looking forward to trying out the coop! Very fun game, definitley give it a try! I'm glad I gave it a shot after watching the OTK Expo! :)
A fun 8bit and innovative puzzle platformer with collectibles, and intricate ideas for the puzzles that build on the base concept of the game. You change between 2 colors so you do not die on platforms of the opposite color, all the while this concept is built upon throughout the game making new levels a different experience instead of more of the same like many in this genre do. Easily 8/10 for the price, with hats make that 8.5/10
A great game, that largely seems to have been missed on Steam because, on the face of it, it looks like ANOTHER platformer with a small new idea. However, it's actually a very surprising little gem: https://youtu.be/Xk3a_rPyOl4
fun 8-bit indie platformer!? sign me up! with a ton of levels and nice hats!!! A rather simple game mechanic that was taken to different heights. I was expecting just a handful of levels, but I was pleased to find that there were way more than I initially anticipated, so props to the devs! did i mention the hats?
This game is proof that a game doesn't have to be complex to be fun. At its core, this game is very simple; you can move, you can jump, and you can switch from Black to white and vice versa. You can safely touch Black/White objects when you're the same color as them, but when you're the opposite color, you'll watch that cat die. But it uses those very simple mechanics in interesting ways to create a unique puzzle/platformer hybrid that's a joy to play, although it may wrack your brain a bit as you consciously try to remember to switch colors while your muscle memory for the platforming sections takes over. The game is challenging, but at no point did it feel unfair. It's designed in a meaningful way where you can speed through it doing the bare minimum if you want, or you can scour the levels for all of the collectables to scratch that completionist itch. Well... perhaps scour is a strong word, considering most collectables are usually in plain sight, although some require a bit more risky jumps to get to. The game may not be groundbreaking, but it doesn't need to be; it sets out to do exactly what it tries to in a way that leaves you coming back for more. It may not be super long, but for 6 bucks, it gives plenty of content that well justifies the price. If you like 8-bit Puzzle Platformers, then this game is a must buy. And even if that's not really your main genre, it can still be enjoyable for people looking to get into the genre. Oh, and you can unlock hats for your cat. And who doesn't love hats!?
cat game, fun game
cute silly cats being goobers
Ok, this game is really fun ,)
This is a really fun game. It is challenging for sure but it is really addictive and hard to put down. Absolutely recommended
Oh whow! This game feels actually great! The thing about switching colors while platforming makes it kinda feel a bit like a rhythm game. If you played Spin Rhythm, you'll know what I'm talking about; you kinda have to constantly think "should I change colors now?", all the while going fast and solving the levels. It has a bunch of cool levels, all named and so far all of them felt pretty unique, with cool gimmicks. The game is a simple concept: you cannot touch the opposite color, and you can invert your color. But many entities make progressively more complicated and add more variables to it. You can tell that the developer put a lot of thought into the learning process of the player. I'll just say one thing: this game is kinda hard! I thought it was going to be a lot easier, but I died a bunch of times just trying to execute a few jumps. If you like precision platforming, this game is for you! It's a crime that a game this well polished has only 12 reviews so far. Very good job to the devs! Looking forward to 100%ing it on my stream!
