Castle Woodwarf 2

Devs completely misunderstood what made the first game great. Now we have to defend the dragon with soldiers? The campaign has stages instead of being a long run? It could have been a somewhat playable game if it were a standalone, but given that it is not, i would not recommend buying this game. Dont get me wrong, i would still have refunded the game if it were a standalone, but it is not a buggy mess or bad quality game

I really enjoyed the casual and short Castle Woodwarf, so I happily bought its sequel. Nope, it's not for me. What made the 1st episode special, was the maniacal optimization of dwarfs on the surface. Here, it's just "spam everything". If you can't win, just gather a few more stars and randomly upgrade stuff. At the end of each match you'll have a ton of gold you won't know what to do with. It doesn't even have a counter saying how many of each unit you have. I've finished the game, and I still have to understand what to do to optimize stuff. In the 1st episode, the dragon felt really mighty. Here, after "mid" game, it becomes basically useless. And before mid game, you don't have the money to upgrade it. The whole game doesn't even last 2 hours, and it feels like a copy of Kingdom Rush.
