I tried everything. It just doesn't work. I tried SpecialK. I tried DirectX. I tried dgVoodoo. I tried dxvk. There is genuinely no troubleshooting option that works. At first it was a white screen. Then after I tried a few things it froze at the gamepad screen with the music playing in the background. Then after DAYS, I was able to making through the loading screen. Then, when I hit enter to play, it crashed. And it kept crashing. And no matter what I did it either didn't do anything or got me stuck at the gamepad or autosave screen. I give up. I used to see playthroughs of this game on YouTube when I was in elementary school, and it felt so nostalgic that I decided that I wanted to play it. Yes, I adjusted my refresh rate. Yes, I adjusted my window size. Yes, I hovered the task manager over it. Yes, I turned my computer off and back on again. Yes, I ran my terminal window as an administrator. Yes, I adjusted the compatibility settings (including to Windows 7 and 8). Yes, I disconnected all my external devices from my pc. Yes, I downloaded every d3d9.dll out there. No, I'm not going to do any more than this because I've probably caused permanent damage to my computer software.

o Jogo é muito bom e divertido, vai te fazer perder uns tempos de vida entretido, e ele é bem curtinho eu quase platinei o jogo em 3,2 horas, se você não voltar pra tentar pegar as conquistas você vai zerar em umas 2 horas no máximo, você vai perder um tempinho de uma tarde atoa bem entretido, recomendo

I had a really good time with this game. The art style is beautiful, the environments are creative, and the soundtrack captures that classic Disney charm perfectly. Every level feels unique enough to keep the adventure interesting, and the overall presentation has aged surprisingly well. The gameplay is simple and easy to pick up, which makes it a relaxing platformer rather than a difficult one. It isn't very long, and experienced players will probably finish it in one sitting, but it doesn't overstay its welcome. The only downside is that the controls can feel a little imprecise during a few platforming sections, and the game doesn't offer much challenge if you're looking for something demanding. Overall, it's a charming and enjoyable experience that's worth playing, especially if you appreciate classic platformers or Disney games. It may not reinvent the genre, but it delivers a fun adventure with plenty of personality.

Minha opinião sobre a historia: Jogo muito lindo, apesar de não ter jogado sua versão anterior, no caso esse é o remake, ele está lindo, sua historia é bem simples, Minnie Mouse é sequestrada pela bruxa, e você tem que resgata-la, mesmo assim o jogo é incrível, fases muito bonitas e bem detalhadas, é um jogo que eu recomendaria para todos. Gameplay: É agradável e simples, só sentir dificuldade nos pulos, em poucas fases, depois que você pega o jeito, fica muito fácil Trilha sonora: 5/10, A trilha sonora é simples. Castle of Illusion holds a special place in my childhood as one of the best Sega Genesis/Mega Drive games ever made, what feels like playing through a a successor to Fantasia while having the whimsy of Walt Disney's original work, it was and still is a classic. But I'd heard the game was getting a modern remake in 2013, I was taken by surprise with it retelling the story, putting a combination of 2D/3D elements in the gameplay, while introducing the title to a new generation of gamers. Story: Mizrabel, an old witch is jealous of Minnie's cute appearance and wants to take her beauty away, keeping her locked up in a castle while Mickey follows close behind to get Minnie back. Graphics: The remake really adds a fresh coat of paint to the 1990 original game. Most of the levels look as they did in the original (though the final levels do look different on their own). Mickey's 3D model looks great, as do the environments and enemies. The "storm" level background looks even more rich than before. So many elements in detail look good enough that they could pop right out of your screen. Music and sound: Grant Kirkhope, the famous composer known for Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64 added a nice charm to the remade music tracks. While not as upbeat as the 1990 game they still have a bouncy and appropriate sound to them that fits with the levels. Sound effects are also fitting for the theme of the game, cartoony, not violent sounding, just about what you'd expect for a game with Mickey in it. Replayability: The 1990 original can take a runtime of about 40 minutes to beat if you know what you're doing, but it's still a fun romp from time to time. The remake adds some additional play hours to the game as you scour levels looking for silver gems to collect, 800 in all as well as new time trials that have been added to see how fast you can finish a level. While finishing to the end without focusing on these additional features brings game completion to about an hour and a half, it's a neat incentive to want to come back to by competing against your best stage completion time. Overall: Castle of Illusion is a worthy remake that, while feels different in some areas to feel like a completely different game, still holds its own as being a great experience to play through for both beginners and fans of the original.

Un viaje directo a la infancia Si jugaste a Castle of Illusion en Mega Drive, esta versión de 2013 es una auténtica dosis de nostalgia. Y lo mejor es que no se limita a recuperar el clásico: consigue trasladar su esencia a una aventura moderna sin perder ese encanto tan especial. Los gráficos son muy coloridos y están llenos de animaciones, los escenarios tienen muchísimo encanto y la música acompaña perfectamente cada momento de la aventura. Es uno de esos juegos que transmiten una sensación muy agradable mientras juegas y que, además, consiguen despertar recuerdos de otra época. Como juego de plataformas funciona muy bien y resulta especialmente recomendable para quienes disfrutamos de los clásicos de los 90, pero también para jugadores que simplemente quieran descubrir una aventura de plataformas sencilla, divertida y con una estética muy cuidada. Para mí, uno de sus mayores méritos es precisamente ese equilibrio entre nostalgia y modernización. Se nota que detrás hay un intento de respetar lo que hacía especial al original, pero adaptándolo visualmente a una época más moderna.
