About
Cast Out Colony has been described by its players as a blend of Animal Crossing, Cult of the Lamb, and Vampire Survivors. It fuses roguelite gameplay, bullet-heaven action, and intricate town-building components to craft an entirely distinctive experience, redefining the survival genre. The meta-progression is located within the colony itself. The larger you grow your colony, the higher your character's stats become.

I'm not an expert in these kind of "number go up" games, but this one is pretty solid. I think the UI could've used more polish, and I really wish there were variety in the soundtrack, but otherwise it's mechanically solid and the bug designs are really pleasing and clever.
Bullet heaven and town-builder lovers can unite in enjoying Cast Out Colony. I had never played a bullet heaven game before, and had relatively limited town-builder experience; neither of those facts were a barrier to learning and enjoying Cast Out Colony. The characters are fun and distinct, the abilities vary dramatically, and my sandbox itch is scratched when I build out my colony. The roguelite aspect and cast of characters work together to keep the gameplay from feeling repetitive, and seeing my novice skill improve has been immensely satisfying. I would challenge you to find a developer that is more involved in their community or listens to feedback better, and the artists ensure that it's never boring to look at. If you're even just thinking about it, I promise that you won't regret giving it a chance (and gifting it to someone you think would enjoy it, too!).
Adorable, fun, chill game. Super cool devs.
fun game similar to vamp survivors made by only 3 people although lacking a bit in content, I'm sure more will be added in the coming updates
This is an awesome game that switches between great base building and a Survivors-like quickly and fluidly with amazing visuals. Well done Woots and co.
40 minutes in and I'm enjoying the chill village vibes, good horde density, I like character is fast enough to evade mobs if you're paying close attention even in the early stages. The character design is awesome, I need me that MIGHTY GREEN unlock. Looking forward to full release! No brainer with current polish.
Two game elements I frenzy over - horde-survival and colony-building - in one game. I'm ded
👌
It's a simple formula but fun.
