No one pitched it to me, no one asked me to review it. I bought it on my own dime because it looked wild and fun. What I didn’t expect was how much it would actually stick with me as a developer. I say all this so the review does what I hope it does—give the devs some well-earned recognition. The style, the energy, the unapologetic tone—it left a mark. Without even realizing it, the team behind Carnage Cart X helped influence our own project, Blu-Dude in the Quest of Reality in Time. It reminded us to stop overthinking, trust our instincts, and fully embrace the weirdness of our game. That kind of creative push is invaluable. Honestly, we had been struggling with identity—trying to figure out what our game is. Playing this helped us say, “You know what? Just be who we are.” Now, I know the devs behind this might be reading this like, “What is this guy talking about?” But hey—that’s my perspective. Let me live it. I reached out just to say I loved what they made, and they responded with kindness and a simple, supportive “Good luck.” It was a little more than that, but what I took away was nothing but mutual respect. They even followed back—which is dope. That might sound small, but in an industry where some devs have flat-out called our game dumb or dismissed it entirely, that kind of human decency goes a long way. It also left me feeling more hopeful. Not only do I enjoy Carnage Cart X—I enjoy it more knowing it was made by good humans. And that means everything. From a Gamer’s Perspective: This game is chaotic, explosive fun—and I mean that in the best possible way. Carnage Cart X doesn’t care about being safe or conventional. It doesn’t ask for permission. It just grabs the controller, slams the gas, and throws you into beautiful, unfiltered madness. And it works. For some reason, it gives me the vibe of playing Mario Kart on the N64 mixed with Gauntlet. I don’t totally know why, but it does—and I loved both of those games. Carnage Cart X scratches that same itch. It’s unique, it’s bold, and most importantly, it’s fun. Everyone on our team who played it had a blast. It’s one of those games where crashing full-speed into a wall makes you laugh, not rage quit.
