About
START YOUR 2 STROKE ENGINES AND PREPARE TO BATHE IN THE PIXELATED BLOOD OF THE UNHOLY HORDES!
Carnage Kart X™ is a retro-inspired Hack n' Slash n' Kart game combining hand-drawn 2D pixel art and 3D gameplay like it's 1996! Use your weapons and driving skill as a Knight of the Kart to survive swarms of fiendish ghouls and horrendous horrors who would like nothing more than to see you join the ranks of the dead!
In Classic Mode, you must endure 5 minutes in each stage if you can while taking on challenges to swell your coffers and increase your chances at bonus bullion! Use your weapons and mechanics to drift, grind, boost, and slaughter your way around the stages!
And introducing Colosseum Mode, where you can experience Rogue-Like gameplay, slashing and upgrading your weapons, kart, and skills within a single session! This mode even supports 2 player couch co-op so you can slaughter zombies with your friend!
Live long enough to play the bonus round at the end of each stage and enjoy a classic kart race with the local foes! Put them in their place, preferably while staying in 1st, and earn even more Gold and Soul Shards, the currencies used for unlocking new weapons, sub-weapons, and upgrading your kart stats!
The game is playable on the Steam Deck! (it just takes longer for small indie games to be verified by Steam)
So adjust thine helm, gauntlets at 10 and 2, and prepare thyself for battle in the best game to ever put a sword on a go-kart!

Having an absolute blast with this. It's like if mario kart met vampire survivors. Highly recommend
Appealing teaser, but can't modify keyboard layout, can't modify vsync/target fps, was stuck after finishing first level (having finished the optional kart track) since i couldn't go back to the menu... A bit hard to understand all the things, but there is already bunch of upgrades and things.. All is "a bit" raw... looking forward for the next updates since it's kind of enjoyable.
On paper, Vampire Survivors mixed with a kart racer sounds good. This game does a mediocre job at both. There's 6 Normal Mode levels at the time of writing. As a new player, if you jump straight into the first level with the default weapon on normal difficulty, you'll be annihilated due to having no upgrades (especially because the level 1 sword is garbage.) Ramming into enemies hurts you. Yes, the new player experience teaches you to avoid running over zombies with a vehicle. You'd have to play a few levels first and buy a sub-weapon to help mitigate this. By the way, why is it called normal difficulty when it's not default? Normal implies it's what the game was balanced around, but here it's treated in the same way as hard difficulty in other games. You actually start with 4 primary weapons already unlocked, but you wouldn't know that without hovering over and selecting them first. The default spellbook and shurikens are way better than the default sword, which begs the question... why would any new player upon booting up the game immediately go to the shop and try to buy a weapon when they have no currency? Also, if you're using a controller, there's a UI bug that causes weapon prices to not be displayed unless you select 'equip' and go back to 'upgrade' (excluding the sword for some reason.) The races are nothing special. No multiplayer & no items despite being a kart racer. One of the opponents is always faster than everyone, so it's more of a stat check than anything if you want first place. I played the first three courses. Ironically the first race was the hardest due to having no upgrades at that point and because the game doesn't teach you about the drift-activated panels beforehand. The video tutorial appears the first time you play level 1 and there is no option to view it again in the controls menu. Colosseum Mode is okay. Closest thing to Vampire Survivors here. I tried it a couple times; there's only one level. It lasts a few waves and then the exit portal appears. This mode has multiplayer, but since it's so short, you'd likely only play it as a one-off. Carnage Kart X has potential, but currently I can't recommend it due to the lack of content and many design problems.

Entertaining game. easy, yet also difficult. would recommend trying with a controller instead of mouse and keyboard. slaying was easy yet grinding was difficult
I really enjoyed this game after seeing it on Instagram reels i thought id try it my standards were low but this game well exceeded them. 10/10 im happy with my purchase. i got this off sale but if its on sale thats more the reason to as its only like £4 here a list of silly things i was thinking of whilst playing also After finishing the bonus race left clicking the main menu button does not work Fix : hit tab to pause the game then enter instead. "allow me to skip the tutorial like a boss (made me watch a video on opening) im not a fan of the camera?!!?! i think a mouse movable one (AS AN OPTION) would be nice ontop of the original one theres also a few visual issues such as the skeleton wheel displaying the wrong number showed 50 gave 1000 and its very distracting 🙏🙏 yeah camera blood particles low 😢 as i couldn't really see much menu music is nice i enjoyed it race mode as an alternative mode too would be cool (as well as a bonus mode) same as multiplayer (bring a friend to fight) have a revival system as a countdown bit like terraria cant jump the river?!?!! absolutely shocking for me Lost games dont count towards stats shown when going through the menu (stats menu? would be nice with things like total runs, total time, boost used, health lost, drift time or drift meters.) Nothing stopping me from sitting still with the bow found you can sit on stage 2 just nearby a chest and nothing will walk towards you. but as this is a high paced kind of game i understand that if you dont want to play / drive about why pathfind" TLDR: this game needs more time in the oven, yet its still an enjoyable experience. Ill update this when / if i play it again.
I hope this gets fleshed out more! Great take on the hoard slaughtering type game with some fun controls
This game is so much fun for being early access. Loving the level design so far. Not to mention we got multiple weapons, spells, bosses, levels and race tracks...I LOVE IT! I see a lot of potential and am looking forward to seeing what the future holds for CARNAGE KART <3
Survivors kart. Drift to kill them all
I found these guys on tiktok a long time ago with their last game and this one kept coming up on my feed and looked fun (CARNAGE KART X slamming down every video always gets me) though it's a completely different vibe from their first game for sure. I got it pretty early and there wasn't a lot to it at first. I almost returned it honestly, but it was $5 and I liked the devs so I was like, you know what, keep the money and best of luck, but I kept seeing stuff about the new coop mode recently that made me want to jump back in, so I tried it out again and it's actually improved a lot from when I first played it! The driving is actually super smooth and once I learned to drift, it felt like like a snappier mario kart somehow? I don't know how else to describe it. I love the gibs on the enemies too! I might wait to play the classic mode more until there's achievements and stuff (You better add achievements!) but the coop mode is fun to just drop into and play for a bit. I just had a friend over actually for some old-school couch gaming and we tried it out and got to level 38 and made it out alive! I just wish it was 4 player! That would really bring back those N64 days! Anyway, just wanted to say good job and best of luck with it! Totally worth the five bucks!
Don't let my time played fool you, this will grow very quickly lol! This game is a shining indie gem floating in a sea of mediocrity, This takes me back to a simpler time when a game was game. No battlepass bs, just pure fun. For the price of a coffee you can help feed your local indie dev today!
