Moving from the 2014 original straight into Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 feels like stepping out of a cramped, dimly lit workshop and into a proper, state-of-the-art facility. The visual upgrade is immediately striking. The graphics have stepped up quite a bit, shedding the flat, sterile look of the first game in favor of better textures, dynamic lighting, and a much cleaner overall aesthetic. It is no longer just a functional interface. It actually looks and feels like a modern video game, which makes spending long stretches of time staring at rusted brake pads and greasy engine blocks significantly more enjoyable. That visual polish extends directly into the gameplay, where assembling and disassembling vehicles has become a noticeably more complex process. The cars are more detailed, featuring far more individual components to manage, which naturally elevates the core mechanics established in the original. Fortunately, the developers balanced this increased complexity by introducing smarter tools that streamline the diagnostic and repair workflow. Instead of feeling tedious, the extra depth makes the process more rewarding, striking a perfect balance between a deeper mechanical challenge and accessible, satisfying gameplay. The loop is so addictive that I could easily see myself sinking tens, maybe even hundreds of hours into this version alone just building up my garage empire. The only reason I am choosing not to is a purely forward-looking one. I really want to see what the 2018 and 2021 editions have to offer. The temptation to keep moving along my chronological timeline is just too strong to let myself get bogged down in one place for too long, no matter how engaging the current workspace is. Ultimately, this entry vindicates my decision to start from the very beginning of the franchise. Moving up to this sequel has shown me exactly how a developer iterates on a good idea, but it also highlights a bittersweet reality. I have a strong feeling that these games get progressively better with each iteration. Because of the iterative nature of this specific gameplay loop, the quality-of-life improvements and expanded features in the newer titles almost certainly make the older ones obsolete. I am incredibly glad I experienced the 2015 version, but it is time to turn off the lights, pack up my toolbox, and see how much further this series jumps in 2018.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 puts you in the shoes of a garage owner, where every day brings a new challenge. You’ll repair, dismantle, paint, and test cars while gradually expanding your business. The gameplay is simple yet addictive: replacing brakes, fixing engines, and diagnosing issues all bring a strange sense of satisfaction — especially if you enjoy tinkering with machines. Car models are nicely detailed, and the repair process feels authentic, though simplified. Pros: Realistic yet easy-to-learn repair mechanics Variety of cars and tasks Gradual workshop progression Relaxing, almost meditative gameplay Cons: Limited car models without DLC Can become repetitive after a few hours No licensed brands 🔧 Verdict: Perfect for car lovers who want to feel like a mechanic without getting their hands dirty.
