If you would like to see my gameplay and review in real time you can watch it right here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzPuYchmj5U Camp Hollow! I am always down for an indie Horror game that wants to try to tell an interesting story, and deadsignal is doing just that, with only 1 chapter under the title so far, dead signal studious has set up some great monsters, an interesting world, and plenty of lore. Consider me officially invested! I do not know if this was intentional but the "cheap theme park" stlye of the camp ground helps with the erieness and unease of walking through the world. It gives off a little bit of "Garten of Banban" vibes, and I, unlike many, actually enjoyed those games. Just don't make the same mistake they did and make over 8 episodes 3-5 is perfect. The voice acting... needs some work, I can understand from listening that English may not be the casts first language so some emotion is getting lost. But! there are still some great moments. It would be an honour to bring my voice to future episodes. Overall this is a promising game from a small team and I look forward to what comes next.
Even though it's a horror game, I was quite impressed by how well the overall atmosphere was done. If you're a fan of mascot horror games, I'd definitely recommend it as a fun, casual playthrough. Thanks! https://youtu.be/Qecku7a9WSk

Its a short first chapter of what I hope will continue as a series. It's defintley rough around the edges, but a lot of work has been put into it by the developers and artists. It's not particularly scary for a horror, however the occasional jumpscare works. Puzzles also play a part but could use more variety andd clarity. There's also a story/mystery that drives progression, so hopefully it can be fleshed out as they go. Props to the voice acting for a game of this budget. Nothing amazing, and I would have liked it to be longer, but overall I enjoyed it.
It was alright little game, had some pretty fun scares! But be warned, there is intense head bobbing and no option to disable it. So, be warned if you get motion sick easily. I really wish there was no head bob, no ones head moves that way when you turn around!
Im very impressed by the game and i had a blast during my whole playthrough! 8/10 Some objectives could have a bit better guiding or highlights to help you out! The chase scenes could maybe have a bit more to them , for example that you have to interact with stuff as you get chased to slow down the monster! But other than that i had nothing to complain about! I liked the story and im ready for chapter 2 already!
https://youtu.be/_JCt1qNoW8w A really solid mascot horror game. It isn't perfect but still really fun for the price and it being chapter one. I think it could use a task list or a journal to help you know what to do next and I do think the monster design looks a little odd compared to the rest of the game. I think if you like mascot horror or just horror in general this is a great pick up.
**10/10 — A Great Start, and I Already Want More** I only have about an hour in **Camp Hollow**, but this is exactly my style of horror game. The **audio design is awesome**. It does a great job of pulling you into the atmosphere and making everything feel more immersive. I also really appreciate that the voice lines were done locally. That's something I love seeing from developers, and it gave the characters a lot of personality. The game also makes great use of **Unreal Engine**. I always enjoy seeing developers continue to explore what the engine can do, especially with horror games where lighting, environments, and atmosphere matter so much. The puzzles aren't overly difficult, and honestly, I like that. They're the kind of puzzles I enjoy in horror games. I would definitely love to see **more puzzles in the future**, but only when they make sense for the environment and story. Don't make something complicated just for the sake of making it complicated. The **characters might end up being one of my favorite parts**. I already loved the first one we meet, and I'm really interested to see how crazy the cast gets and how many more characters are introduced as the game grows. Performance was also great. I'm running a **Radeon RX 9070 XT with a Ryzen 9 9900X3D**, and the game ran like butter. I caught a slight hitch here and there when transitioning between scenes and loading new areas, but outside of that, I had no real performance problems. My biggest complaint? **IT'S TOO SHORT! 😂** But I also understand that this is just the beginning. If anything, being disappointed that it ended so quickly is probably a good sign because I genuinely wanted to keep playing. If you're into **horror, atmosphere, and puzzles that don't require a PhD to figure out**, I 100% think Camp Hollow is worth checking out. I'm excited to see where the developers take this one. **10/10 — Give me more Camp Hollow! 🔥**
VERY WELL PUT TOGETHER AND LOOKING FORWARD TO CHAPTER 2
This game was good it did scare me a few times I guess, but most importantly is it isn't long and it isn't annoying the puzzles were easy and all I do reccomend this game if you like playing horror games and also I thank Deadsignal for giving me thgis game for free!
