There are many wonderful qualities to this game, but I can't overlook the bad ones. Let's start with the obvious: it's priced at the level of a full-length JRPG that holds up for years, not a short visual novel that's hardly a game and lasts for only a few hours. But sometimes I blow money on stupid things. The real reason I'm writing this review is because in several of the adult scenes the top's c*ck makes a tent in the bottom's stomach. Both gross and not how real sex works. Instant b*ner-killer. It's like going on a Grindr date with a beautiful guy only to find out he smokes or has some other disgusting habit. And I was even trying to overlook that. But the final scene, the one that's supposed to be the most romantic and most hot, is also marred by this bizarre fetish. And this is coming from a guy who's pretty open-minded about fetishes. Anyways, save your money for a company that's able to make something beautiful and hot and then not ruin it with the mentality of an immature schoolboy. I had their other game on my wishlist, but sadly I'm removing it today...
Its gay and I like that.
very gay and yaoiful
Honestly compared to the original game camp buddy, this game is 100@ horrible. Only 2 romance options. $40 for 2 romance options and an EXTREMELY short game compared to the original camp buddy. Dont buy this. I whole heart heartedly recommend buying the original camp buddy because you can feel the love the passion in every aspect in that game. This game is just not worth it and i regret buying it but cant get a refund so it is what it is. IF you just happen to have 40 to spare that youre truly not gonna miss and can afford to blow it on a waste of time and space then by all means go ahead, but if you dont have money like that do not get this game. Use that money on a game that will be worth your money. Im sorry to have to even say that since i really loved camp buddy but scoutmaster season for me was a 2/5 and thats me trying to be generous
Premise This review reflects my personal experience with the game. While I aim to write thoughtfully and as fairly as possible, my reviews are subjective in nature and should not be used as objective metrics to assess/critique a game. The game splits early into two routes: Aiden (the outgoing senior who runs the cooking side of things) and Goro (older, guarded, tied to the camp’s past). You pick one and will stick with it. Aiden’s route moves through camp events, where he’s constantly pulling Yoshinori into the center of things. The tone is open from the start. Goro’s route is slower and more private. You meet him away from the group, until the game starts bringing in his history and why he keeps people at a distance. The writing is excellent, and mixes comedy with double entendre all around; you are drawn to the story because the writing takes you into their world. I would add that the game felt relatable because there were so many references to our community, from BL suggestions to the icons on the computer screen for minigames! Representation — ★★★★★ This is a camp built around M/M relationships. Each route commits to one person and gives that dynamic time. You’re not switching paths mid-way. You spend days with the same character and see how they react to the same places and routines. There is a wide cast of characters, each different, both in personality and physique. Gameplay — ★★★★★ Progression follows a day-by-day schedule at camp. You move from morning activities to evening scenes, making choices during conversations that lock or unlock events. There are memory minigames tied to key past moments. You’ll repeat them across a route to open extra CGs and scenes. They are can be quite tedious, and you will see them more than once. Each route is long (approximately 12-15h), especially if you are going for full completion. You are not finishing this quickly. Art & Direction — ★★★★★ CGs are spread across each route and tied to significant moments, not dumped in one place. You unlock them as you move forward, and they mark your romantic and intimate progression clearly. There are still and animated scenes and they are all gorgeous. So much effort went into the small details; I have seldom seen a game with such detailed and exciting animations (keeping it G here!). Voice acting for the cast enriches the experience, especially during longer scenes. The setting stays within camp, but different locations are used for different types of scenes such as: group events, late-night conversations, a hotel, and so forth; therefore, returning to the same place does not feel the same each time. In addition, there are extra activities you can engage with from the Gallery menu! Do I recommend it? — ★★★★★ Yes, absolutely! Pick a route and stick with it. The game is built around that commitment. Amazing animations, memorable characters with excellent character development, voice acting, minigames... there is nothing that this game doesn't do well! It's a perfect score of 5/5 in every area for me! Tags: BL • Visual Novel • Multiple Routes • Character-driven • Voice Acting • Explicit
Diferentes de outras porcarias que existem por aí (Y Press Games) - Camp Buddy é o melhor dos melhores. Os jogos da BLits tem qualidade excepcional não só nas artes, mas também na história.
I really like the story and the "scenes"! (Iykyk). Really recommend this to other BL fans out there!
