Cactus Cowboy - Desert Warfare

Don't be fooled by the somewhat simplistic graphics, this game is really fun! A full-size story shooter with very good gunplay that rivals much bigger productions. My only gripe so far is that there don't seem a lot of checkpoints, but that can easily be balanced out by playing on easy difficulty. Or if you're a better player than me, by not dying ;D And if you like 80s/90s action movies, you will definitely like the jokes & humour in the game!

[h3]An Amazing VR Adventure[/h3] 10/10 - worth every penny This game has so much to offer! After the first few hours into it I can say: Cactus has done it again! As it's predecessors, [i]Cactus Cowboy - Desert Warfare[/i] is packed with a simple but good story line, funny characters and a lot of humorous details. Be prepared to work your way through loads of creeping bugs with a firm smirk on your face! :) All that comes with top of the line VR-FPS weapon handling. You can 100% tell, that the head behind the Cactus-Series is an FPS gamer himself (if you're lucky you might meet him in a game of Pavlov once in a while - and if he's not working on the next Cactus game). Don't let the simple graphics put you off, this is some A-grade shooter you're looking at. Have fun!

Endlich mal wieder ein Single Player Shooter, nach all den verlassenen MP Leichen. Wer den letzten Cactus Cowboy Teil mochte, wird diesen hier lieben. Was man geboten bekommt ist ein toller Retro Shooter der sich zu keinem Zeitpunkt wirklich selbst Ernst nimmt. Die Waffen-Mechanik funktioniert gut, und die umfassende Story ist bis zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt wirklich Unterhaltsam, und es ist sogar voll vertont, mit teils richtig guter passender Musik. Man bekommt hier quasi ein Call of Duty im Simpel-Stil mit Humor ala Serious Sam, oder Duke Nukem. Ich musste schon einige Male herzhaft lachen. Im Spiel gibt es eigentlich für jeden Spieler Anpassungsmöglichkeiten wie zb. Linkshänder Support, simples Nachladen, Snap oder Smooth-turn , und auch die Möglichkeit den Schwierigkeitsgrad einzustellen, für so Shooter Dummies wie mich. Natürlich kann man sagen dass das Spiel "schlecht" aussieht, dem kann ich so nicht zustimmen. In VR wirkt die Grafik für den gewünschten Retro Stil absolut stimmig. Videos oder Screenshots können das schlecht transportieren. Einzig ein paar mehr NPC-Animationen, und deutsche Untertitel hätte ich mir gewünscht, vermutlich wäre dann aber viel vom Wortwitz verloren gegangen. Vielleicht sollte man hier aber auch die Kirche im Dorf lassen, denn wir reden hier von einem Hobby-Projekt, welches ein einzelner Entwickler, neben seinem Hauptjob, in seiner Freizeit entwickelt hat. Sowas sollte wirklich unterstützt werden, da ja scheinbar die großen Studios kein echtes Interesse an VR haben. Von mir gibt es jedenfalls einen Daumen nach oben.

This Game is Awesome !! I played the hole game in the quest version and i like it. The Graphics are lovely, the Gunhandling is awesome and the Story is funny from the first minute. I think it's an must have for every VR Gamer

I can only recommend this because of how few good VR games there are. After playing though It I can see a few flaws. First off the 7 hour campaign only lasted 4 hours. Then I realized there's no shotguns in the game. That doesn't sound like an issue but in cactus cowboy 3 we had pump shotguns and automatic shotguns, then in cactus world at war we had a double barrel sawn off that was fun to use, and now we have none. we went from 2 shotguns to 1 to nothing. and cactus 3 had new game plus, more weapon varriety, and level select. This game has lots of unskipable cutscenes. Many things were improved with this game in respects to level design, boss fights, the weapons feel good and it's a solid 4 hours of gameplay so I can still recommend it. But I can't shake the feeling that the series peaked in cactus cowboy 3 and this is just a 15$ level pack. The rifles, SMGs, and pistols might be different from the other games but you use a rife the same way in all 3 games so the only thing that changes is the model of the gun and the fact you can set it to semi-automatic now.

Cactus VR Studios liefert mal wieder. Super FPS mit super Gunplay und super fun Gameplay. Aber ernsthaft, das ist ein richtiger guter Shooter.

Das recht einfach aussehende Spiel bietet bessere Shooter-Waffen-Mechaniken, als viele andere VR-Actionspiele. Man merkt das der Entwickler wirklich weiß wie sowas aussehen muss! Eine lange Kampagne mit viel Humor, vertont mit markigen Sprüchen der Kakteen ist auch drin. Die Levels machen Spaß! Da sieht man gern über wenige Animationen, Texturen und Polygone hinweg. Die Musikuntermalung und Soundeffekte passen sehr gut.

First PCVR game to work with PSVR2 toolkit adaptive triggers!

Don't be fooled by the graphics. Gameplay is very nice, some parts are challenging and story is stupidly fun.
