I really like the music in this game but I am a bit disappointed because I feel mislead. You see, me being dumb thought that was going to fight my jpeg, and that words in my files would show up in the game. I am probably just really dumb but I thought that would have been a cool game concept and I thought that was what I was getting. So I'm a bit sad that wasn't what it was, but beyond my expectations this game is a pain in the ass. Leveling is a pain ass, the game controls pain in the ass, and your attacks are a pain in the ass. Enemies especially are a pain in the ass and I had it on the lowest difficulty. Sometimes you will be hitting an enemy thirty times but their block game is on point and you on the other hand are just the worst and should die, and that's what they do, deliver a very quick death with a one shot. Randomization is cool and all that within reason but when I can never figure out if an enemy can one hit me or if they are blocking, there is a difference between planned out randomization and just a mess. Its really hard to progress if there is no rhyme or reason. You will never be able to craft the items the goddess lady wants because you require five of something and good luck figuring out what file dungeon has what. I only paid 3 bucks but I didn't know I was paying to put my bare ass on a bed of needles.
Tags: Topdown - GridRogue Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Kingsway meets Rogue-like. Not fun. Might retry someday as it seems to have an odd featureset, in the meantime this does not belong in my permanent library. Pretend-80ies dungeon crawler with exploring your hard drive as a basis for dungeoncrawling. Strange. Feels loosely put together and procedurally generated. Combat not satisfying and did not feel balanced out. Audiovisuals were not satisfying. I was expecting ASCII but instead just got retro sprites. Game seems to be about exploring your hard drive which manifest as dungeons that you can explore. Combat was hit and get hit clicker, I picked a knight with plenty of health and got killed in short order. User interface not very clear and could not really find an equip screen or stats screen. Game has a strange but humoristic tone here and there and seems to be just a clunky dungeoncrawl experience. Removed for declutter.
