Quick Summary: Don't bother with this, play Simutrans or Open Transporation Tycoon Deluxe (both free) instead. I didn't play this game for long, but its simple enough to understand quickly what its about and how to play. This might be ok for a game priced so low, but there are much better games that are cheaper (free even) that do everything this game does and more such as Open Transportation Tycoon Deluxe (OTTD for short) and Simutrans. The only thing this game adds compared to OTTD and Simutrans are very tedious gameplay elements such as having to buy different types of fuel for your busses, as well as MANUALLY repairing roads and setting up stop lights. The graphics are a little nicer than OTTD and Simutrans, the day/night cycle looks cool, but thats about all it has going for it. All that being said, if OTTD and Simutrans seem too complicated for you but you still want to play a transportation tycoon sorta game, this might be the game for you as its much more simple to understand and play. Otherwise, just play OTTD and/or Simutrans, focus just on busses and you'll be having just as much fun or even more than this game.
Bus Tycoon is a simple game made on Gamemaker Studio. It supplies shops, ingame money and awesome controls. I did not get a key to make a good review. No. To make a honest review, yes. I love tycoon games. I have played so many and simulators / tycoons are my favourite types of games. I compared this to Turmoil, another simple tycoon game where you have to get oil. This game is just as good and needs a bit of a push. When i started this game, i did not know what to do and i failed completely. I waisted all my money and i did not even buy a bus. Luckily this game supplies us with a reset game button. Second time round, i managed to succeed and i have now got , at this time the review was written, 2 buses and i am making 50k every 10 minutes. Sadly this game does not give us a fast forward button. That is my improvement. If you are looking for a game to keep you busy like turmoil and factorio did for me, buy this game. Its the best bus tycoon so far and unless someone makes a 3-D Bus tycoon where you are driving a bus and picking up passengers, this game is the best one. Thanks for reading and feel free to add me! - SepticSlither
Cut down version of Transport Tycoon deluxe with only buses and no real progression A group of disparate villages need an integrated bus network and it's up to you to build them one. Sadly this is just a very basic clone. Cities don't expand, routes don't seem to matter and the only thing that effects passenger numbers is the size of the bus stop. A tiny village can have 350 people waiting at the bus stop if you make one big enough. The bugs, oh the bugs! Stops go blank and stop working, suddenly no one wants to catch a bus at all if you try to upgrade a station without the room to expand. Buses will get stuck navigating a 90 degree bend causing an almighty traffic jam and then just blow up without warning. Roads constantly need repairs until all of a sudden they didn't etc... There's no real challenge in the game, the graphics are poor, bugs galore and the game doesn't seem to have any goal. Get OpenTTD instead, it's free and vastly superior.
Great little game!
There are many management simulation game out there. Some good, some So-So and some bad. The current status of this game is between So-So and Bad. Its Graphics are uninteresting, Music/Sound effect is simple and in all honesty it feels incomplete and lacking. When new game start you get a series of town that’s not connect to each other. You build roads for free to connect them with your bus service station and gas station. Then build stations and assign bus route to make money. Stations can be upgraded, fuels type can be brought to unlock new bus type. 1. Town map never change. Doesn’t matter how long you play. The city map don’t develop on its own. Why cannot it be a 5000*5000 square map that city constantly develop from the road you built? Why cannot there be sudden event of special building coming to town at random location that you need to build/assign bus to take care of the people without cars? 2. Why there are no other cars on the road… Even with all 30 bus in action. The Road feel empty and useless. The traffic light is nearly meaningless. Make the city more alive. 3. Why you cannot modify each bus route once it’s been assigned? Why there can only be 1 bus for each route? 4. Bus in the game have a life expectancy of 45 days to 90 days? IF a bus can only last this long in RL and it randomly explode when it’s dead I would make my own bus manufactory company to make better ones… It’s just illogical. For that matter. Why does the cheap fuel car last longer than high-end hydro fuel car? My cheap fuel car lasted 15 days and hydro fuel only lasted 8 days? 5. Why I cannot manage my bus that’s already in a route? When I see my bus in smoke I want to bring it back to service station and repair it so it doesn’t explode…. 6. An empire is not built in days. Why this game goes in days? Night and Day sounds like a good idea but it takes years for an empire to grow even though it’s just a bus company. 4/10 for a seriously lacking bus company sim.
Игра не доработана. Множество багов. Сырой геймплей. Не советую, пустая трата денег
Great game, could use a few improvements to make gameplay slightly more tollerable, but really fun and elegant.
It's a nice simple game, however the price of £1.99 ( i got it for £1.69 due to a sale) is not worth it, a price of 99p would be much more suitable. Another thing would be to increase the map and citys, or allow you to make your own.
Easy game to understand, pretty fun way to kill a couple of hours at a time.
Fun little game. the basics of the game is good, the game Builder can continue working from here. sure there are areas of improvement for this game but so for now it's a nice game. nice design and easy to use. itself understood the game my son of 7. fun game to buy.
