I love this game, I love the concept of this game, I care deeply about the state of this game.
It's done a lot of things right, and for their first not mobile game, I think it's a great step, and the devs listen, mostly. There are, however, a lot of things done wrong too, and that's expected, and okay.
The economy is still broken, and since their last update as of this post, the personal busses and their partitions are extra broken, to a nearly unplayable degree. Every discussion post is about how they want the partitions to function entirely different, while others just want them to work at all like how they do in the missions.
I feel personally offended by the fact they allegedly used AI for their latest update's moving paintings, AI steals from artists, and they didn't *need* the moving paintings, and so I'm extra mad that I gave them the extra money for the supporter pack (before all that happened), and if I could I would refund from that alone.
The bus bid space needs a refresh mechanic of some sort as I'm still currently stuck with only two options due to a bug, and the only way to get new busses on the lot is to purchase one, they told me they would look into it.
There is a lot they get right though, I don't want to just take it down, I do deeply care about this game, as someone who wishes to live van life but can't drive due to some depth perception issues, I use this game to sorta get a taste of what I could have had if my eyes didn't need expensive dlc to be functional.
There is a lot to decorate with, different kinds of styles that actually allow me to have my dumb goth rv dreams (as the only other rv decorator game that does function a lot better is just pastels and girlytime, which is fine but not what I want.)
There's plenty of busses and plenty of little jobs with stories and collectibles to find. It's cute, it has love behind it, you can even drive your personal bus as a little treat and that brings me a sense of joy. I think adding a fishing mini game would be cute and funny, but that's because I don't like doom, and that's my own damage, but if you like tank controls and tiny mini games in games, there's doom!
The game is cozy and cute, listen to your own music and just mind numb, it has potential.
I think this game is kinda ambitious with what it wants to be, do, and provide, but it also feels like they're burning out.
I want to make this a positive review, I do, but with all of the issues, and the AI usage even if small.... I can't. I will happily change and update this review if things change, and I really really hope they do. I spent hours day dreaming about a life I'm not allowed to live that I would if I could but I cant even play the game because I'm stuck with the same two busses which both have broken partitions, and its been quite a little bit since they addressed issues in a proper update or check in. no road map, no contact beyond their discord which some of us don't have because global surveillance (and data leaks) shouldn't be tolerated, so that some of us are left in the dark *if they are* talking about these things.
