Bugaboo Pocket

I love this game! The art direction is super inspiring, and it fulfills a need I have had for a long time: more tamagotchi-likes ! I think the virtual pet genre has never really reached it's full potential, so a virtual pet game like this having a story is an incredible experience. Though I do find it confusing that all the bugs are from different ecoregions irl...are being released into the same habitat. Maybe one day there can be a bug game that showcases more of how insects interact with their ecosysystems as they do in real life. I love that the minigames are different for each bug species, and that there are different care goals to unlock new bugs. The sound design is also amazing

Fun Tamagotchi bug game! Nice art and cute bugs all around. a bit expensive for the amount of content it offers, but it's still a lovely game.

A small but solid assortment of arthropods to keep, each with their own unique prefs and minigames. Great graphics and a beautiful little story to go with it. While it's enjoyable, it does get repetitive very quickly. It requires player attention/action to progress, but there are some idle-like elements that clash with this, especially having to wait several minutes for the bug to hatch/evolve/die. Wish there were active/passive game modes or something. A reorder or delete option for the garden/collection would be nice too. Still worth getting on sale if you like creepy crawlies and want a short, relaxing and low-effort game.

This game is very beautiful in terms of art style and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the bugs are adorable and cute. In terms of visuals I have nothing to say, because it is very good. On the other hand, the game had some problems: 1. There is no indicator of how long the bug lives, so in some cases you are looking at a bug and the bug is looking at you and you both don't know what to do and you are just sitting waiting for the bug to die. 2. Some minigames get repetitive and it gets boring and you don't know what to do while switching between scatalog, computer, your own bugs and minigames as if it lacks something. 3. Yeah the game is kinda pricy, but if bought during the sale it is okay. 4. Did not understand the plot quite well, but I am here for the bugs anyway. Overall, after finishing the game, I got a warm feeling inside, because it's fine and like every game it has it's flaws, but neverthless good sides too.

Мне понравилась эта игра, потому что я люблю жуков. Вам нужно довольно хорошее знание английского, хотя бы на среднем уровне, т.к. иногда встречаются сложные слова. Эту игру я купила по скидке. Меня расстроило то, что жуков в игре не так много видов - я очень люблю многоножек, но тут их не было. Но здесь все равно много других красивых жуков, в разных расцветках. Можно красиво украсить их домики, у каждого жука свои предпочтения в интерьере. Мне понравились мини-игры, хотя со временем они надоедают, а ещё в игре очень много загрузок между почти каждым действием, это странно, ведь игра совсем небольшая. Сюжет довольно интересный, очень красиво проиллюстрирован и санимирован. Думаю, если вы любите жуков, то вам точно стоит поиграть в это, ведь игр про жуков в целом не так много, особенно таких качественных.

This is a game I would HIGHLY recommend to other fellow bug enthusiasts. I haven't gotten far into the game just yet, but it has very much been a blast while playing. I am neurodivergent and bugs happen to be a special interest. I love the lil bug facts, they're very fun and enjoy reading them! I love the fact that you can pet the babies as well! It is worth the money, AND the art is absolutely stunning and clearly made with love! Only thing is the waiting, but it isn't that big of a deal. It is a relaxing and casual game. If anyone is sensitive to passing/death, it will be mentioned and informed. It is part of life, I try not to get attached to them lol. But they give you options to remember them. <3

I've been following this game since the beginning and have loved every moment of playing the game. It is deeply comforting and cozy. It met me at a very stressful time in my life and as soon as I would boot up the game my worries would melt away. The facts and hats are adorable but I believe the best part about the game is how I have been able to show my friends the game and how they too light up when they see their bugs. The best way to beat phobias is to educate people about why they are so important/vital for our survival and why they aren't something that should be feared but instead appreciated. Bugaboo Pocket does so not only in an educational way but also in a aesthetically adorable and charming way. I will always recommend this game to everyone I meet.
