It's always nice to see a game inspired by Out Run, especially when it's as fanbloodytastic as this game is! Being able to drift and do hurricane spins is a neat addition. There's also a nice variety of different looking areas, it keeps the game looking fresh. I really enjoyed unlocking all the achievements in this game, a few of them are some of the hardest achievements I've ever personally unlocked! My only real complaint is that there's not enough music, but that can easily be solved by playing your own music in the background with the in game volume turned down. I'm very much looking forward to the sequel!! I give this game two thumbs up and a nod of approval. A delightful arcadey experience.
Too gay for me...

Wasn't really a fan of the drifting, and the 1v1 mode was just boring
"no recommend" but strictly in an "if you're me" sense. it's racing but with a timing-sensitive combo system that i just don't mesh with. If you enjoy eg mortal kombat and also racing games, it's probably excellent for you. If you like cartoony racing games and are good at soulslikes, it's probably excellent for you. Since I'm not into either of those, I couldn't get past the tutorial. couldn't land hurricane combos, couldn't get my head around steering while drifting. Maybe it's better with a controller and mouseandkeyboard hobbled me.
this is good outrun's modern rendition, in the best way possible acab
Quirky, simple, effective arcade experience. This feels like one of those old school flash games, with the charm and style of one too. Also.... Van diesel
The game is cool, but it gets boring quickly. The controls are clunky, and the option with the LGBT flags is the most useless thing I’ve ever seen. I don’t want to see them in the game, but the game doesn’t give me that choice.
I come back to Buck Up And Drive every now again again long after I forgot the last time I'd play this game. Each time I have vague memories of not really liking it, but not remembering why. The review is an attempt to remind myself why I don't recommend playing it. The actually racing part of the game is extremely shallow. I'm usually bored of the actual race well before my inability to finish an Outrun type section is complete. Because the game isn't about navigating the turns and weaving between the other cars. It is about hitting the speed boosts and ramps along with tricks and drifts. Feeling far more like some kind of skateboard racing game. Which just doesn't interest me. I can never tell if the trick and drift system is good. Nor can I tell if that trick system creates any sort of depth to an otherwise extremely shallow racing game. Because every time I boot up this game, I am just looking for an mediocre arcade racer. Yet, I am always disappointed. At the same time, I feel like I am wanting something vastly different that what this game is. So, I can't tell if it just isn't for me, or just not a great game. Ultimately, I'm giving it an not recommend. Because I am bored half way trough each time I play it, and whatever the actually game may want me to do holds no interest in me to even learn what that is. Let alone actual play that way.
It's Outrun but not very engaging or fun, just kind of meandering with painful visuals for some stages.
🏎️ Buck Up And Drive! - Wheels, Weirdness & Wackiness 🚗
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Recommendation: Waka Waka Yes!

Buck Up And Drive! is the kind of arcade racer that makes you question life choices while you’re too busy flipping your car on the MOON. It’s an endless driving game inspired by arcade classics - but with pink backflipping trucks, surreal tracks, and enough “what did I just do?” moments to fill a truckload of rubber duckies. What kept me rolling:

🔥 Endless arcade mayhem – procedurally generated roads that go from mundane to “WHY IS THIS ON FIRE?” at the drop of a hat.
🚀 Moon jumps & absurd tricks – backflips, grinds, and drifting like you’ve never tried before (or wanted to).
🤼 Car combat mode – 1v1 battles that feel like wrestling matches with wheels.
You’ll find yourself trying to beat stages, accidentally sending cars flying off cliffs, and laughing at just how ridiculous this all feels. From outrunning rivals to trying to stay upright on absurd terrain, Buck Up And Drive! is a wild ride you never quite see coming. 🚗💥 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⣀⣤⣴⣶⣶⣶⣦⣤⣀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⣠⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢿⣿⣿⣷⣄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⢀⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣅⢀⣽⣿⣿⡿⠃⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⣼⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⠛⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠛⠁⠀⠀⣴⣶⡄⠀⣶⣶⡄⠀⣴⣶⡄ ⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⣦⣀⠀⠙⠋⠁⠀⠉⠋⠁⠀⠙⠋⠀ ⠸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣦⣄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠙⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⠃⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠈⠙⠿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠿⠋⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠉⠉⠉⠉⠁⠀⠀ 🐎 ROAD WARRIOR 🐎 🚗 Drifter of the Absurd 📣 Keeper of Crazy Car Combos 🎮 Steam: CelticPacman 💬 Discord: Join CelticPacman's Community 🎮 Twitch: Follow me on Twitch 🏁 Current Mission: Don’t tumble off the map (too often) 💬 Status: Probably flipping again…
