I feel conflicted about this game. On one hand it shows potential for Titanic: honor and glory, but on the other it is very bare for a $15 game.
THE GOOD:
The actual presentation of the game is phenomenal, with great care and attention to detail; It is a quality product. The game runs well and looks great! You can learn quite a bit about the ship as little informational nodes are scattered around the vessel when you explore it.
THE BAD:
For $15 dollars, you get a game that has less then an hour or two of content. Why not add a mode where you make your own decisions to escape or help those aboard? That would necessitate adding NPC's, but it can be done. If not that then maybe include more interactive elements; you can't interact with the ship at all at the moment. You can't launch lifeboats, change the telegraphs in the bridge, etc. I understand not having it for a historically accurate mode, but an alternate mode would have been nice. There is a "real time" sinking mode similar to their YouTube videos, but nothing much happens. I feel that they could have added some commentary to the real time sinking to give a better perspective of what's going on for people who are unaware; the videos on their channel have commentary and so does the game during the ship tour. You can't explore the ship all at once, so this means while the ship is sinking you cannot enter it. This is very minor, but the water look quite odd if you're moving on it. It turns very blurry and messy. There are also some bugs, but most are harmless.
VERDICT:
It's an alright game, but there is work to do. I'm not holding my breath for a major update anytime soon however, as it has been six years since the last patch. I hope they will come back to this and finish what's here. The only real reason to buy this game is to support the hardworking people behind it on their next project; Titanic: honor and glory
Beautiful ship and an amazing game, really gives the Britannic the honour and display it truly deserves, sadly there isn't much replay value but sitting and watching it sink makes me continue my interest in the ship. Would've been nice if there was more places to explore but the current locations available are still really good and highlights how day to day life would've been as an ocean liner and what it was during it's service as a WW1 hospital ship
Good start, but very limited on where you can go
My hours (as of writing this review, I promise you then number shall continue growing) show how I feel about the game. As for what I think. I'm not going to completely thrash this game for the limited interiors/no sinking interiors, my only complaint about that is how the Grand Stair Case and pool was handled (The pool is more nitpick than complaint). This game is quite a mystery to me. VDR has the store page and assets(?) yet Part-Time Explorer's name is attached. It's clear there was some split. Under the assumption that VDR is the majority responsible for this title then that makes this next part simpler. It's nice to see Britannic get some love, even if it is no more than a little. It would be nice to get more interiors added to the game but, considering VDR would theoretically be responsible for that than it would reasonable not be until AFTER Titanic Honor & Glory releases. Maybe some minor additions here and there due to shared assets/minor changes could be added every no and then but that's just a suggestion from someone who knows nothing of the game developing process. None the less, this is a beautiful glimpse at the more-often-than-not forgotten youngest of the Olympic sisters.
this is a very good game and it does a great job at showing the way the britannic sank and showing its history
The Britannic Is you my name is Liam Weeth Rolando
I like this game because I played old version of this game it was good but this game has better physics the ship leans in the game and sinks you even can almost fall of the ship and the lifeboat work in the game.
Easily the best way to experience RMS Titanic's younger sibling just as it was & how it was meant to be. See for yourself how HMHS Britannic sank down to the very minute.
britannic go boom pc go boom
Игра очень хорошая. Всё хорошо проработано. Единственное что хотелось бы чтобы в режиме крушения можно было ходить внутри самого Британика. И добавили русский язык.
