This one flew completely under my radar, and I'm glad I gave it a chance. Drawing heavily from Scandinavian folklore, it feels like playing through a dark fairy tale instead of another generic horror game. Every creature has a purpose and history behind it, making the world feel far more authentic than most games in the genre. The art direction is easily the star of the show. Inspired by the work of Swedish illustrator John Bauer, the environments are both beautiful and unsettling, and several of the boss encounters are genuinely unforgettable. Playing as a small child only amplifies the scale of these towering creatures and makes the journey feel surprisingly tense. The gameplay is fairly straightforward, with simple platforming and puzzles that never overcomplicate things. While it won't reinvent the genre mechanically, the atmosphere and presentation more than make up for it. It also runs great on Steam Deck and is the perfect length to finish over a couple of evenings. 8.5/10. A hidden gem that deserves far more attention, especially if you enjoy games like Little Nightmares, Inside, or Limbo.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I have a lot to say about this game. I got this game on a massive sale and I will say that I think that is the only way it should be purchased. The price point for this game is absurd not only for length of gameplay but for quality of it as well. Initially, this game is quite charming, albeit with clunky controls. Olle can be quite difficult to control at time, with keyboard or with controller. However, I was fine overlooking that as the game seemed to have some cohesiveness in how it worked and the level at which the difficulty rested. But past a certain point, it became tedious and frustrating. Where it had a logical route at one point, it dissolves that with next to no notice while also throwing in new mechanics or ways of navigating the terrain that are not intuitive. This makes much of the later game a trial-and-error as you unsuccessfully evade death time and time again. Olle will also seemingly get a mind of his own at times and decide not to climb things. Many times I thought something was unclimbable because he would simply jump in front of it. I'd look up a guide and it would tell me that was the correct way to go and I'd have to orient Olle perfectly to get it to work. The music is fine and the storytelling is okay as well. I didn't care much for any of the characters so what happened to 99% of them wasn't really something I was terribly worried about. Some of the boss fights were cool then the mechanics would get beaten to death and all life would be sucked from them. For a game from 2023 the graphics are okay, since there was clipping in cutscenes and some of it just looked sloppy at times. I truly wanted to like this game but the more I played, the more frustrated I became. I am all for games that are challenging, but this game presented as a relatively simple puzzle game with platforming and horror elements and then decided it wanted to be tedious at the drop of a hat.
8.5/10 - Very strong first half, still strong but less so final half. Beautiful music and visuals!
Great game, very atmosferic. Grim fairy tale
I wish I could give this game a neutral review. But I'll leave it as positive because I feel like that out weighs the negative. The story is good, the bosses are interesting, it's grim and dark -- there are a lot of creepy moments that aren't quite jump scares. Overall in that it was effective. It is mostly a walking sim with a voice over, but there are some elements that are reminiscent of Little Nightmares. However, the game is janky. Sometimes you'll get hit by things you clearly dodged, sometimes you don't grab when you should, sometimes you'll just miss jumps when you shouldn't, sometimes you'll run off a ledge you didn't know was there because of the fixed camera. The running animation is also a little weird sometimes. One of the boss fights was so aggravating because of the culmination of these janky happenings that I almost uninstalled because I died so many times on a single fight. I sorta just had to Zen my way through the fight and hope that I'd stop getting killed by jank. Overall, it was a good game -- buy it only on sale, it is not worth $30. If I had grabbed it at full price, this would probably be a negative review.
У вас тут не The Last of Us. Тем не менее игра объективно неплохая. Можно более-менее приятно побегать по красивому миру. Нейтральной оценки тут нет, поэтому приходится ставить диз.
She (narrator) said it! She said the thing (Dark Souls)!
Espectacular juego.
