About
Company: Zeno's Ventures LLC
Location: Dusthaven Crest
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Description
Zeno's Ventures LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual (that's you!) to oversee the operations of our one-of-a-kind bottomless pit. This is a unique opportunity to take charge of an infinite void that defies logic, physics, and common sense. The successful candidate will ensure the pit remains bottomless, uphold safety standards, and serve as the public face of the abyss.
Responsibilities
Pit Inspections: Conduct daily checks to verify the pit’s bottomless status, using methods such as: shouting into the void and listening for an echo that never comes, kicking rocks, and gazing (safely!) into the abyss.
Visitor Management: Guide curious tourists through our unique experience while maintaining appropriate safety protocols and collecting admission fees.
Facility Operations: Oversee daily revenue collection, upgrade our facilities, and ensure all amenities meet our visitor's expectations.
Qualifications
Education: Degree in Theoretical Physics, Void Management, or a related field not required.
Experience: None required!
Skills: Modest communication skills to encourage lazy visitors or negotiate with cryptic pit entities. Ability to peer into the abyss without blinking, weeping, or asking too many questions.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods while resisting the urge to jump in "just to see what happens." The pit is not ADA-compliant.
Benefits
Compensation: Competitive salary with opportunities for advancement!
Health Coverage: Comprehensive insurance, including treatment for abyss-induced vertigo, nihilism, and rope-burns.
Perks: On-site housing with a stocked fridge and amenities. Local wildlife offers gazing opportunities beyond the navel. Wearable merchandise may be delivered upon meeting your quarterly objectives.

* I don't have a top of the line computer, but it's pretty decent- 4060, Ryden 5 7600, 32 gb of ram, and this game runs like garbage. Even on lowest settings, my computer becomes a thermonuclear reactor. It really shouldn't given that it's a pretty small map with not a lot going on and there are only ever about 20 NPCs moving about at any given time. * I clip through the ground every few minutes and the only way to get back to playing the game is quitting out entirely and restarting. I even accidentally fell into the pit at one point and didn't get respawned back up top. I just fell to the bottom of the supposedly bottomless pit and had to quit out. * The phone interface is awkward and annoying, especially given that half the menu options end up under the player's thumb and are unreadable. * I quit out of some of the initial tutorial text messages trying to go through some of the other menu options then spent about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to get back to the tutorial messages. Turns out you can't. I don't think any of them were too critical though, as the game is pretty easy to pick up. * NPCs are incredibly buggy. Half of them end up standing still before they get to the pit and never move. * A good portion of the game is pushing the NPCs that do make it to the pit into it but the player has tiny little T-Rex arms and you need to be pressed up to an NPC to actually push him. * There's about a dozen different upgrade options and I can't tell what any of them actually do, if they have different effects at all. * The upgrade options get maxed out pretty quickly, without any real sense that anything is being improved. * There's an awkward focusing visual effect that behaves like an auto-focusing camera, ensuring that the game constantly looks like somebody poured boiling milk into my eyes. It even affects the computer used to buy upgrades. Frequently I will walk up to the computer, engage the menu, then realize I pressed the button too soon as the menus stay blurry and don't focus after they're engaged. I have to back out, make sure the camera is focused, then go into the upgrade menus. * I am a fan of incremental/idle/clicker style games. I know they are just click button to make number go up, but even with that in mind there just really isn't much meat to this game. There are a handful of upgrades that affect the environment, but half of them are things like adding a big empty concrete building you can't go into and adding a big empty hallway that you can't go into. The soylent pipelines, cultists, etc. are a fun idea but the game gets stale really quickly.
This game is really more of a tech demo and runs terribly. There's weird temporal artifacting on the screens which makes it impossible to read messages and there's not much of a tutorial. Sure it's an "experience" but I'd rather spend the $5 on a walking simulator with a story than something like this.
Perfect video game. A love letter to gaming. I laughed, I cried, i rethank everything. if they fixed the bug where if you press "f" your entire game becomes blurry and you have to close the entire thing and restart the current day, it would be a 5/5 controllers on the IWGGS. BAP shilled it but it kinda sucks
Incredibly jank, runs horribly. Even on a high end pc I drop down from 200fps to 20fps on the default settings when there's more than 10 people around. Can't access any past messages. Got stuck multiple times looking straight down. It's possible to miss cutscene triggers when falling leading to softlocks and needing to restart the game. Cost of upgrades overflow and go into negatives, and so do your income. Incoherent and not worth the $5.
I guess I'm kind of recommending this. It's more like an experience more than anything else, with very light management gameplay elements. The bad: -It runs like absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, even after the performance update. -You can't re-read messages sent to you, which makes it confusing. -Too vague in describing what some of the upgrades do. (Guests go crazy. Alright, what does it do?
It makes the guests jump down the pit, but only after you've jumped down the first time after the pit gets hungry
) -The upgrade descriptions are on your worker's handbook, which you need to tap through in order. If you missed the one you want, WHOOPS, gotta tap that screen again and there are too many handbook messages berating you for sifting through the hints. -Taking selfies with the guests (it's for money) is a chore. Position yourself with your back to the guests and hope that the ~45-degree rotation doesn't throw your framing off. Also, why a selfie? Just let us take a simple photo. Also also, there's no quick button for the camera. Every time you want to take one, it's Y->down->down->down->A->A. -This game probably has the most aggressive depth-of-field I've ever experienced. Like putting on +10/-10 glasses when staring at a railing or something. -Once you finish the game, you basically can't play it anymore because of, uh, reasons. The good: -Genuinely great unnerving audio. Very soon after starting there was a dust storm and it legitimately creeped me out. Don't know if these were store-bought audio assets or recorded separately, but some of this stuff wouldn't be out of place in a real game.
The cultist chants for the first time also scared the crap out of me and it's a nice touch that they chant a different word when you change it.
-Some of the visuals are also great. Had a normal guest wandering through a dust storm early in the game and it was the most nervous I've been playing a game in a long time. -The automation part of management scratches my Excel-brain nicely, even if I didn't have to get even half of those upgrades. Recommendations: -Just please optimize it. It's probably a major pain in the ass, but a game this short and restricted shouldn't run like this. -Footsteps are too loud and too frequent, so mix it down and adjust the step frequency. I know this is a small gripe, but it takes away a lot of the atmosphere. -
The cultist chants could sound a bit more otherworldly or strange.
-NG+? Paid 4,67€ for it, so I guess it was worth the experience. I've paid more for worse in my life. I guess the question is that is it worth it to you? A genuinely creepy experience at times, sprinkled with memes, and hampered by UI and performance issues.
A nice little management game. It's fun, it's memey, it's bottomless, it's sometimes janky, sometimes laggy, it's $5. Don't forget to check that the pit is in fact bottomless.
Within 5 minutes, I had already run into multiple game breaking bugs that required restarting the game. Firstly, after opening and closing the checklist, the camera blur did not go away, making it impossible to see where you're going or what you're doing. Secondly, the workbench menu wouldn't come up at all. Then the scream wouldn't stop, and ended up layered over itself multiple times. Avoid like the plague, this developer hasn't done even the bare minimum of playtesting
Now that I got some of the upgrades after playing for a little over an hour I can say that there is a certain charm to booting people to their certain death! All in the name of improving the bottomless pit operation right? This is your duty as manager! I haven't experienced the graphic issues other have yet, but there is a small graphical glitch where when your focus gets too close to an object it blurs everything. I'm sure it will improve with time!
It has some potential but nothing is explained clearly, you can't see what your upgrades are actually affecting. I think it needs more content and maybe some optimisation but I could see myself playing again when/if it has more stuff in it.
