Overall it's like Celeste but in VR: as far as I can tell I'm doing the same movements over and over again, but the game thinks otherwise and gives me a random different result every time. Yes, I understnad there's no randomness involved and it's just my aim that goes a couple pixels or milliseconds wrong, but it's not a precision that I can possibly achieve as a human being, so from my perspective it's as good as random. There is no way that I could discover to make the boomerang go relyably where I want it to. One time it would soar up into the sky and the other time it would go down, even though I did not make any different conscious choises.

Ein wirklich interessantes Spiel, bei dem es darum geht mit einem Bumerang Ziele zu treffen bzw. Bomben zu entschärfen bevor diese explodieren. Es erfordert einiges an Übung bis man die perfekten Würfe hin bekommt um dann auch mehrere Ziele auf einmal zu treffen. Dieser Lernprozess ist manchmal frustrierend jedoch ist es umso motivierender, wenn man dann eine Leistungssteigerung erreicht hat. Zum Abschluss eines erfolgreichen Wurfes ist dann noch das Fangen des Bumerangs erforderlich. Mit der richtigen Technik funktioniert auch das prima (spätestens seit dem letzten Update). Alles in allem ein herausforderndes Spiel mit dem man lange Zeit viel Spaß haben kann. Immerwieder gibt es neue Herausvorderungen vor die man gestellt wird wodurch die Motivation erhalten bleibt. Boom Boomerang is a free to play VR game where you are throwing and catching virtual boomerangs to destroy bombs before they explode in this challenging and unique arcade-style VR game. It worked on my HTC Vive system, sounded ok, played ok, looked ok. Has 34 steam achievements. No VR movement, just move in your roomspace. Has a ceiling grid button, so you can set height of your play space in game. Has 3 modes of play: Arcade, Survival, Onslaught. Arcade has 25 stages to unlock. Looks like it has long time value. CONS: It does not work with Index bindings. Try this free game on the Vive, you might like it.

It's not a bad game, but it's not anything impressive either. More of a game you put on for the kids when letting them experience VR, or showing family members who don't really play games how VR works. Very Arcade-like, but it's not a bad thing Just a middle of the road, lukewarm review. would not recommend this game to experienced VR users, so i'm giving it a thumbs down. If you like arcade style games similar to Boom Blox for Wii, then go ahead and buy it.
