Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I love reading, and I love the concept of this.. AND I REALLY wanted to like this... but it got boring fast. It felt really grindy... I love grindy games but this was annoying? ⇉ Basically setup shop, order books, put book on shelf then walk around advertising your shop. ⇢ You also have to clean up after the customers.... they leave a LOT of random garbage on the ground (didnt really look to see if there was a garbage can but not sure if it would have helped lol) ⇢ Customers constantly drop books on the ground ⇢ You can't control when you close the shop... you're kinda stuck once you Open ⇢I wish the book shelves had more than 4 spaces for books. ⇢ more genres needed Feels really unfinished, even though its oficially been out for 3 months... I was looking at the previous patches.. not many changes. I feel like it'll be a while before theres any gameplay changes

It's a nice and quaint game but there's not much to do here. Once you get the store setup, it ends up just being a walk around the block grind for more customers.
This is very hard to write, because I would say that this is a more neutral game than not. But as others have said, it's incredibly grindy. The process of it doesn't feel that worthy of the pay off in the end? It's cute for when you want to have your own little bookshop and don't mind needing to take your time with the game, but I've played around 3 hours spread out over multiple days because I can't help but get bored with the loop of things. It's a shame because the small stories portrayed within it are pretty cute, just not enough for me to continue playing it.
I adore a good pixel game, one where you get to run a bookshop is just chefs kiss! I personally don't have any complaints, I've thoroughly been enjoying my time playing
It's a cute little cozy game, but it's very basic. There are NPCs with little story lines, but you are basically spoon-fed them because you do not have to work towards any rep with them, you just talk to them before opening your shop for the day. Because there was nothing in game to prevent me from rushing through it, I finished them all before learning a crucial bit of info from Stefan the book and well before he told me to try talking to people on benches. I've just upgraded my store to one side so I have more room, but since I accidentally rushed the side storylines, I'm wondering if there is anything left for me other than just achievement hunting. Time goes by way pretty fast once you open the shop so each day flies by and at the end of the day, customers just drop whatever book they have on the floor, even if they are heading to the register. There is no grace period to allow you to finish sales. You cannot hire anyone to help you. That makes it a little difficult to help customers find books, cash people out, sell coffee, AND go outside to bring more people in. There are achievements for selling different books in a category (20 each) but I still have books on my shelves no one has bought and ones for selling a number of books up to 500, which seeing as I had only just hit 200 in about 4 hours of play time means I have work ahead of me. So if you just want to zone out or be a little mind-numbed or you do not want a difficult simulator game, I'd recommend buying it. If you are looking for a really good store simulator, I can't say this would scratch that itch.
A nice cosy game made by a solo dev. Run your little bookstore, make money, buy new furniture and decorations, and buy tools and upgrades. I found the gameplay slightly boring, it would have been nice if the customer mini game had a few variations so there were a few more mechanics in the game. I would have also liked to have unlocked perks somehow: faster run speed, discount off books, extra customers etc. The game is very simple, it feels a little bare bones, but it was still enjoyable. I really liked the customer stories, that was a really nice touch and they were my favourite thing about the game. Recommended for a relaxed and chilled session to switch your brain off.
Book Bound is a cute pixel shop keeper game where you run your own book shop. There's a decent amount of decorations. Including different bookshelves, rugs, chairs, tables, wall art, plants and lamps. You can go outside and rally people up to come visit your shop, brew coffee for customers and even write your own books to sell. I enjoyed the Halloween update. I loved that the park across the street changed and was spooky. (I hope there's more updates in the future) I like that the only time time is going is during the day is when your book shop is open. There's no rush when you're decorating and ordering books before open. The clock is forever at 9:59 until you decide to open the shop. My biggest hang up is the shop closing. I wish people who are one the way to checkout at close could purchase those books and not drop them on the floor.
Cute, cozy, engaging, and actually has a bit of a sub-plot. Great little game.
cozy and very cute book store game! things were a little clunky at first but got the hang of things eventually. there needs to be a way to get more customers, more time in the day or more people outside earlier in the day. selling 500 books took literal hours, if you aren't scouting all day you'll only sell 1-3 books naturally. still completed the game, but i'm unsure if i'll get on it unless there's big updates.
