A completely different take on the tower defense genre. Combining it with the Puzzle genre, making for a difficult game. Buy traps, bombs, turrets and walls and place them in optimal positions to defend against enemies.

Like many, I got this game in a Humble Bundle years ago and booted it up recently. The first few levels were okay, but it spikes so early. I got to Level 6 on recommended mode and hit a wall. I look over to the page and guides and there is nothing but negative reviews and no guides. It's a low-quality asset flip/high-end flash game, which isn't necessarily bad if the gameplay is engaging. In Bomb Defense, it isn't. The developers probably don't care anymore and aren't looking at the page, but if there was at least a walkthrough or hints to the levels that made the game beatable, I could at least justify my playtime with achievements. I can't imagine what Gold mode looks like. Is this game even beatable?
The game is highly repetitive and at times feels random in whether or not the traps actually function and impact the enemies. The tutorial does not really set you up to understand the games mechanics and is simply frustrating to play. I got it through a humble bundle and I would say that you should save your time and money and play something else.

It's unlike any tower defense and you can't say it's related somehow, with all the semi-static traps which work only as animated without any rotation. The music beat got very tiresome for me and I just had to mute it to prevent my headache from developing further. I played through a few levels and I couldn't force myself to play any further, as it became boring and dull very quickly for me. The only way to save a game like this, is reshape and reprogram it from scratch, add interactivity and at least some AI, because all it looks like for me is a pure budget take on tower defense which was made in a few hours.

[th]Aspecto[/th][th]Puntuación (0-10)[/th][th]Comentario[/th]

Jugabilidad6Cumple: colocar, probar, ajustar; divertido si te gusta iterar.

There is a certain amount of charm to this game, but it also has some glaring flaws. - You cannot scroll the camera, but some of the map is offscreen. For example in the tutorial it is shown that completely blocking the enemy path is a valid way to win the game. So on the first level I picked a location and placed a wall, preventing the enemy from reaching the objective. The enemy then proceeded to walk offscreen and around the obstacle I placed. There was a second path that is offscreen and invisible to the player. - You have to purchase the traps that you want to use before being able to view the level. There is no way to sell traps and purchase new ones after completing the purchase phase. This leads to an annoying flow of buying some traps, then seeing the actual level and realizing that your traps are not what you need and being forced to restart the level in order to buy the correct items. These are just two issues that I found within the first 5 minutes. There is a lot of potential with the idea of a puzzle-oriented tower defense game, but this one just isnt finished. It would be cool to see the developer polish up the title or do a sequel, because the bones of something good are here. Unfortunately the lack of polish makes it an experience that is hard to recommend
The game gets quiet repetitive and generally boring pretty quickly. Some levels seem to be broken. you get to save pretty kitties from being killed but otherwise meh.
An ugly and sloppy mess, need some serious work in all areas.
