Beautiful graphics. Love this game.
Hi-rez puzzle game. You are a member of the Blue Toad Detective Agency, on holiday at the quaint little town of Little Riddle. To your surprise, you run into a murder on your first day, and the body count only increases after that. Solve the mysteries and all the puzzles that come your way. The game is a collection of puzzles of varying types, including spatial, observational, mathematical and memory, wrapped in the story of a series of murders. The puzzles are timed and graded, scored with a gold medal if completed under budgeted time and with no mistakes, a silver or bronze medal if too much time is taken or mistakes were made, or nothing if you give up entirely. The medals you accumulate determine your score at the end of the story episode. With each episode you choose a suspect in the murder based on their statements and evidence; right or wrong the actual culprit is revealed in the end. The tone is comic and light-hearted; the game probably qualifies as kid- or at least family-friendly. It can be played single-player, but appears to be set up for co-op and competitive play, with occasional references to "you lot" when an NPC is talking to you. You choose which of four members of the Blue Toad Detective Agency will represent you in the game. The choice doesn't have any effect on actual gameplay; it only determines which figure appears in conversations with NPCs. Each comes with its own set of facial expressions for reacting to scenes, NPCs, puzzles and the narrator's summations. Significant flaw, though: I couldn't run the game twice in a row without it failing to load the second time. Steam Support suggested I use the "verify integrity of local files" option in the Properties tab for the game in the Steam library; this worked, but really shouldn't have been necessary. And as the game is ten years old, it's unlikely this will ever be fixed. Generally happy with it as a diversion from more epic games. I got it in a HB bundle, but it's not bad for the current store price of $4.49.
Perfect for masochists. Calls you a loser every 15 minutes

I personally loved this game. The animation is a little cartoony but it is a game for children after all. Really like the tongue-in-cheek British humour and Agatha Christie-themed mystery.
i love the narrator and the puzzles are fun a fun relaxing game with lots of giggles
Love this game. So sad to see that it has so few reviews. It's such a fun experience.
