Warning: Broken Game! This game has design/implementation defects that will render this unplayable for many gamers. the game does not function on modern versions of Windows and thus was removed from sale by the developer.
Blood Bowl: Death Zone is a licensed Games Workshop property. Blood Bowl itself is their franchise of fantasy themed sports, essentially a hack job of American gridiron football, only with more violence as orks and so on try to kill each other to score points. This was never really the best product from Games Workshop, designed to be a more quick to pick up and play game than the much more involved Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40K tabletop miniature games. There's been a few Blood Bowl games made for PC, and they did middling at best... this was one of the worst, and that was before the developers abandoned it. Blood Bowl: Death Zone didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for "Touchdown !", scoring a touchdown, trivial to get, but less than 37 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, even the people who own this game weren't interested in it. The poor quality of this game is also reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 17 players. This is a remarkably low number for a lucrative gaming license, it was objectively a failure on Steam. If you can get a key for this, don't bother. It's dead and gone.

I got it as a gift along with Blood Bowl 2 and I still feel ripped off! It's clearly unfinished and the amount of crashing freezing and or other game breaking bugs I ran into just trying to get 10 wins for one of the achievements made what should've been one of the more painless and fast completions on paper into one of the most frustrating I've ever experienced and that's saying something! It also made my PC run extremely hot even with all the settings turned down as low as possible or disabled, so something is very wrong with the optimization.
not bad
This game is an outrage !!! Not only the gameplay is highly questionable but it keeps on freezing for no reason, in which case you are automatically forfeited and have to restart your full campaign. How did Steam autorize such a game on its store ??? Worse game I played for veeeery long...
Simple, rapide mais inachevé, des succès Steam tranquilles en même pas une heure ^^ Vraiment pas achevé, on dirait un croquis de jeu...
Not a fun game. Broken as well.
I tried multiple times, and I can't get through a single league match without a freeze and crash to desktop.
As of writing this review, I have not played any other Bloodbowl game yet. There is no reason to buy or play this game. The only reason I did was because I got it in a bundle with Bloodbowl 2. This game feels like a mobile rip-off of the Bloodbowl I've heard about. It feels clunky and your characters are sluggish, which isn't something you'd want in a sports game. I've now helped multiple people get the multiplayer achievements for this game since noone plays it anymore. Good riddance.
Another delisted title, not much of a loss though, it wasnt really a good game anyway. __________________ Follow my Curator for more!
