About
Blood & Bananas is a grand strategy game with a focus in economics during the cold war, a capitalism simulator where every country or company has their own goals and where you as the player is only a part of the world. Be a warlord by staging a mutiny or a benevolent ruler who focuses on diplomacy over war or the exact opposite, build the perfect army with different weapons, tanks and planes.
Be a country and increase your state power with money to kick out the companies or be a company who puppets countries with good business so you can make money and buy the market provinces of a country, launch new products and change their prices to gain more money or gain more demand in a province, build factories and offices to expand your influence across North America, you could also hire mercenaries and take it by force.
Build infrastructure to have more buildings which will improve economy. Use buildings to harvest/mine/extract different resources, monopolize them and mark them up when entities have no choice but to buy them from you. Either you start as a person and work yourself up via the career tree and buy seats to become more powerful than your liege and coup them or play as any entity on the map (tribes not suggested). You can do all at once if you so please.

➖🟨🟨🟨➖ 🟨⬜️⬜️⬜️🟨 ⬛️⬜️⬛️⬜️⬛️ 🟨⬜️⬜️⬜️🟨 🟨🟨🟨🟨🟨 🟦🟦🟦🟦🟦 🟨🟦🟦🟦🟨 🟨🟦🟦🟦🟨 🟦🟦🟦🟦🟦 ➖🟦➖🟦➖ ⬛️⬛️➖⬛️⬛️
Let me start by saying I absolutely love the concept of this game and I can see a lot of potential in it. That's why it got the positive review. It's a free game so I recommend that everyone tries it at least, especially if this game is updated at all. I don't know if I'm missing something though, but the current state is unplayable. I want to give a lot of positive encouragement for the dev here though, because I can see the mechanics and ideas forming, but I also can't figure out how to move the map, or even what is supposed to be going on exactly. Definitely try this game but go into it prepared to check back in after an update or two. If you've found this because map games and economies are your thing, I think you can also see the potential in it and any judgments you make of it should be off of that, not off of the first couple hours or even days.

main menu wont go away and everything is popping up behind it so i cant click most things unable to play the game at all also game doesnt have tutorial or any info on how to play
UI looks bad and game is too laggy to even try to learn it
this game would heavily benefit from a tutorial, its also heavily unfinished and seems unplayable, i hope all those kinks get worked out tho because it seems like it will be alot of fun to actually play
this game has great potential, i will follow its progress closely
The concept has a lot of potential, however the UI is barely done, filled with placeholders, and makes it very easy to softlock yourself. Escape wouldn't bring the pause menu after some time, and before that I couldn't access the options either. Managed to go forward one (1) week, then everything kinda shat the bed. As a proof of concept, it's cool, I want to see this fleshed out, possibly with the rest of the world added, once the current scope of the game works decently. I wouldn't recommend it rn because of the game-breaking bugs/overall jank of the menus, but I will keep an eye on the development. (I also don't want to kill the ratings because I really like the idea of being able to start as a random that can potentially reach head of state through various means, the game feels like early-alpha and risk being downvoted to oblivion, which would be a shame.)
Нехрена не понятно.
