Reviews
Great game, mechanically rich, nice production, tounge in cheek name and humor. What's not to love
This is a solid classic shoot-'em-up, but it doesn't reach its full potential. The presentation and cutscenes are top-notch for the genre, and I really enjoyed the lore and enemy designs. However, the gameplay itself is just too slow. Secondary weapons are hard to find and mostly underpowered. There aren't many enemies on screen, but the ones that are there are highly dangerous and demand pinpoint accuracy, which is frustrating for the early levels of a shmup. The biggest issue is the lack of permanent upgrades. Without them, you're forced to start every single run with the same weak ship, which gets repetitive fast. I'll give it a thumbs up, but only because I hope future updates will balance things out. Not sure if this will happen.
