Blockwick 2 is a thoughtfully designed and surprisingly deep puzzle game that takes a familiar concept and expands it into something far richer and more rewarding than it initially appears. Developed and published by Kieffer Bros., the game builds upon classic sliding-block logic while layering in originality, elegance, and a remarkable amount of handcrafted content. At a glance, its bright colors and simple grids suggest a casual experience, but beneath that inviting surface lies a puzzle game that consistently challenges spatial reasoning, long-term planning, and creative problem-solving. The core objective in Blockwick 2 is deceptively simple: slide blocks around a grid until all blocks of the same color are touching one another. There are no timers, no move limits, and no pressure to perform quickly, which immediately establishes a relaxed and contemplative pace. Early puzzles ease players into this concept with small boards and clear solutions, allowing the rules to feel intuitive and approachable. However, as the game progresses, the puzzles steadily grow more intricate, demanding not only an understanding of block positioning but also foresight about how each move will cascade through the entire board. What truly distinguishes Blockwick 2 is the sheer variety of mechanics introduced over time. The game continually expands its puzzle language with new block types and behaviors that radically alter how problems must be approached. Some blocks are linked together, causing multiple pieces to move simultaneously, while others behave like segmented creatures that must be maneuvered as a single entity. Sticky blocks cling together unexpectedly, immovable blocks force players to work around fixed constraints, and layered interactions often require several preparatory moves before a meaningful shift can occur. These mechanics never feel gimmicky; instead, they are carefully integrated so that each new concept builds naturally on the last. The game’s structure also adds depth beyond simple completion. Many levels contain optional objectives that encourage more thoughtful play, such as uncovering hidden moon pearls or achieving special “illumination” solutions by covering specific symbols on the board. These optional challenges do not block progression, but they offer an additional layer of satisfaction for players who enjoy perfecting solutions rather than merely finding any solution. This design choice respects different play styles, allowing casual players to move forward while giving dedicated puzzle enthusiasts meaningful goals to pursue. Content volume is another major strength. Blockwick 2 offers an extensive collection of puzzles, including a large main campaign and an additional set of foundational puzzles that reinforce core mechanics. With hundreds of carefully crafted levels, the game provides dozens of hours of gameplay for those determined to see everything it has to offer. Importantly, this length never feels padded or repetitive, as later puzzles often remix earlier mechanics in unexpected ways, forcing players to rethink assumptions and adapt their strategies. Visually and audibly, the game supports its puzzle focus with a clean and calming presentation. The colorful, minimalist art style makes it easy to read the board at a glance, while subtle animations provide clear feedback for each move. The soundtrack and ambient sound design are gentle and unobtrusive, contributing to a meditative atmosphere that encourages concentration rather than tension. Controls are smooth and precise, ensuring that any difficulty comes from the puzzle itself rather than awkward input or interface friction. While the difficulty curve is generally well paced, there are moments where challenge spikes noticeably, particularly when multiple mechanics intersect in a single puzzle. The game offers minimal direct instruction for new block behaviors, relying instead on experimentation and discovery. For some players, this can lead to brief moments of confusion, but for others it enhances the sense of accomplishment when a solution finally clicks. These moments reinforce the game’s identity as one that trusts the player’s intelligence and patience. Ultimately, Blockwick 2 stands as an excellent example of how a simple idea can be elevated through careful design, creativity, and respect for the player. It does not rely on spectacle or narrative hooks, instead delivering satisfaction through pure logical engagement and steady mastery of its systems. For fans of thoughtful puzzle games who enjoy taking their time, exploring layered mechanics, and savoring well-earned solutions, Blockwick 2 offers a rich, polished, and deeply rewarding experience that easily earns its place among standout indie puzzle titles. Nice
Very relaxing and creative game. Would love to get Blockwick as well if it is available on Steam.
蛮有意思的puzzle 个别有点难 慢慢解 大部分关卡有手就行
Фигня. Слишком сложно и непроходимо уже на втором уровне. Не тренирует мозг.
创意和谜题设计都很不错
Very Good!!!
有些没法点亮,比方说我刚玩的那一关,有红绿连体方形色块构成的粘块系列,嫩绿色的哪组。这一关没法点亮。
Pooling blocks of same color together with the various obstacles. Each level adds a new twist. Enjoyed what I played - got tired in the middle of level VII. Might return some day.
Ehh, bought this on a whim because I was craving more of these sliding block puzzles & played through all of classic and about half of the actual game but the sticky block mechanic kinda just ruined it for me. Really frustrating and finnick mechanic that can actually lead to softlocks if you mess up certain puzzles in certain ways. And it's not like most of the puzzle designs feel all that clever - they're really messy most of the time with only the occasional puzzle that actually feels tightly and competently designed. Not the worst but I probably shouldn't have bought this in the first place lol. It's fine.
