TLDR; It's a fun cute game, not fan Hunter's pushy flirting, but loved Sergei's backstory. Pro : - Cute design - Surprising story forks, choices bring bigger changes then I espected - Some good twists too - You are a vilain ! Con : - Hunter's way of flirting will not be for everyone. It's pushy and he start acting gross when you reject him (made me not want to play his story in fact) - Some of the BGs were unlocked from the start that shouldn't be, and I read a couple of comments that those are a bit buggy, Suggestion for futur projects : - I whish there were a bit more variety in the portraits and BGs, it's a bit too repetitive. - A more flesh out sequel would be nice !
Me encanto la trama de esta visual novel, si acaso solo siento que la trama es algo corta, por ahi vi que hay mas historia pero no he podido ver como poder desbloquear eso)? pero por su precio esta muy bien.
TL;DR:
A short BL VN that honestly feels more like a "meet cute" than an actual romance game. For what it is, it's good, but you need to manage your expectations. ---
Overall Impression:
While I enjoyed myself, I was definitely left wanting more.
Content:
I imagine that if you're not up for some super-villain-ing (relatively tame) and BL flirting/kissing (relatively PG), then you wouldn't be picking up the game to begin with.
Translation/Editing/Technical Issues:
There are a few typos and one or two confused homophones, but nothing really major. Sometimes the music would have issues with dropping out to silence - though that may have had more to do with me messing around with the log/history or leaving things on a screen too long/too short. Honestly, a minor issue. The only other technical issue I can recall is knowing that some of the CGs may not trigger in the gallery.
Art/Character Design:
If you like what you see in the screenshots, you're good to go! The style reminds me a little of the Archer cartoon series, which honestly works very well for the story/theme. The CGs are on par with the sprites. The story takes place mostly during the course of one day, so alternate costumes aren't really necessary (though the MC does have one).
The Hero/MC:
I absolutely adored Keegan. I don't know of any other BL MC I've played that won me over this much. He's intelligent, witty, has his act pretty much together, and for the most part is cool under intense pressure. He absolutely 'made' the game for me and I wanted to spend far more time with him than the game was designed to deliver. I wanted to know a lot more about him and see him continue to shine.
The Love Interests:
They're fine, just not really to my tastes. Hunter is a combination of the smooth James Bond-esque seduce-everything-that-moves stereotype + the cocky American stereotype. He's a little more twisted under the surface than he first appears, which made him far more interesting once that aspect to his personality was revealed. Sergei is the "cold KGB agent" stereotype + strong-silent-type. He's got a few more moving parts to him and of the two, I preferred Sergei (though visually, I'd guess he was my least favorite design). What's unfortunate for both is that Keegan absolutely stole the show in every scene (not a bad thing) and the game didn't have enough room to let me get properly attached to either love interest. The game ended just when I started getting invested in them. I ended up wanting more from both of them, thankfully, but unless we get a continuation, you may be left never even getting invested in them.
Story:
I can't really consider this much more than a "how they met" story. You get the set-up with the general shape of Keegan's backstory, some of his personality, and what he wants. Then it moves on to The Mission, which was pretty fun. After the Mission is over, there's a quick wrap-up of the general result of each LI's route. (No matter what, Hunter will
escape after making clear he wants to play sexy cat-and-mouse with Keegan
and Sergei will
end up working for Dr. Cyclops
. There are just four different ways those results will fall out.
In closing...
If you go into it knowing it's only the start of a romance rather than a complete romance, you'll be happier. I think the current price (3.99 usd) is reasonable for the amount of content there is. I'm just hoping very much that we see more of Keegan one day. I really, really loved him and I hope he has a full game one day. (I'd be fine if Hunter and Sergei returned for a sequel, but just as happy if they brought in a completely new cast. That's about par-for-course with most spy media anyway.)
還行 Not bad 3/5
遊戲時間還滿短的,劇情算是那種經典的搞笑間諜片。不過戀愛線基本上可以算是沒有,比較像是小調情之類的?
Gay smooth romance and got to play thte bad guy. All the best.
A short, fun little m/m visual novel where you play a wannabe German supervillain with an option between a US secret agent and a KGB secret agent as love interests. It's got good save and skip functions so you can easily get through the whole thing quite quickly. The art is decent and the writing is okay. My biggest criticism is that this probably could have used an editor. There are a number of typos and awkward sentences. Also, the game's a bit buggy, with the skip sometimes not working. All in all, though, the music is nice, the story is fun, a number of the character panels are nice, and the character dynamics are neat. It's also a really great narrative starring a disabled protagonist. If you've got some time and like m/m visual novels, this one isn't a waste of time.
This was a very fun game. I'm leaving a positive review because I liked it but I'm not really sure if I'd recommend it for real without letting people know that you are barely getting anything romantic other than a teasing of it - especially for Sergei's routes. Hunter has moments that lean on being "romantic"
like you're getting like three kisses on Hunter's seperate routes but nothing more than a hand kiss happens on Sergei's routes
but I was really disappointed for the lack of it in Sergei's storyline, more so since he was actually the reason I bought this game for ;; Overall though, very fun writing and funny moments. Even the names of the achievements are references and I love it all ><
Amazing!
我喜欢这个剧情,设定真的很带感(虽然有些CG比较出戏...),但是,我觉得Keegan好可爱😊
