About
BladeFall is a fast-paced hack-and-slash game where timing and skill decide every fight. You play as a warrior trapped in a world that seems normal at first, but is actually a simulation created by machines after humanity was wiped out.
Humans once built advanced machines and an AI core to improve life. Instead, it turned against them, destroyed human civilization, and covered the planet with a fake reality. The few survivors are kept inside this artificial world, never seeing the truth.
As you fight your way through enemies and bosses, you start to notice glitches and breaks in the world around you. Bit by bit, you uncover the real world hidden underneath. But the biggest twist comes later: the “reality” you thought you escaped into is also another layer of simulation. You have been trapped inside a simulation within a simulation, controlled by the AI to keep you from discovering the truth.
Your goal is to fight through these layers, expose what the machines are hiding, and reach the core behind it all.
• Hack and Slash Combat: Fast, fluid, and timing-based melee action.
• 2.5D Style: A mix of side-scrolling and depth for smooth and clear combat.
• Boss Fights: Challenging battles that test your reactions and skills.
• Simulation Twist: Discover that the world around you has more layers than it first appears.

It's too buggy for now but i'm sure there will be fixes later, but graphically it's really a good looking game, worth the try Also needs to add joypad support :)
This seems like a proof of concept type of thing. I was following the game cuz it looked super cool to me. I had no idea it was going to launch as free. Then I played it and could instantly tell why. The gameplay itself isn't exactly bad, it's just unfinished. I can't seem to rebind keybinds even though there's a menu for it. I can't use the Dash ability even during the part of the level where it's obvious you're supposed to be able to use it. It worked a few times but stopped working after I died a couple of times. I like the story. I think the text for it should show up in the center of the screen instead of the bottom left, though. It's very straight forward but cool. I really like the visuals a lot. I really like the concept of this a lot and I hope to see it get fleshed out.

Ok, so there are some things. This game has a lot of potential. GOOD: 1. graphics are really good...like, too good prolly. 2. music is on point 3. art style 4. sound design 5. enemies are fast and relentless It's just a really neat game... But, it needs some things fixed and changed. Here is what I think: 1. The inputs do not always make the character do the thing 2. There is too much delay in switching weapons before attacks happen 3. Attacking in a backwards direction does not seem to happen when trying, and the enemies are too fast for this not to be a thing. 4. There is no walk even using analog controller..the character is a badass, let me walk like it. 5. Damage numbers should have a toggle, as the game does show when you hit things with the animations just fine. 6. Enemies group together like wildfires...not saying this isn't cool in a way for difficulty, but with the attacks not always attacking and being rather slow for how many you deal with is a bit frustrating. **maybe a block button? or a dash on the ground???*** 8. The screen switches sides way too often. It's like the character "forgets" that there are enemies behind him..this could be fixed with a walk/run ability. When you are walking, he maintains targets. When you run, the screen follows him. Just ideas here. So, I definitely recommend this game, because it's free, but it really just needs some finer tuning in the immediacy of the character in regards to attacking. Also, with this being said, it would be nice to have face buttons attack on controller, or at least the R1/L1 instead of triggers. The triggers slow down inputs...this is kind of a trend thing, but it really makes it less visceral and slow. I tried it with mouse, which is kind of better, but I kept thinking I could somehow aim and it doesn't seem like you can. Not saying you need to be able to, because game design, but the mouse is strange if you can't use it. Had to come here and say this stuff..hope the dev reads this and takes some criticism, because it really has a lot of cool potential. I like the character you play as...it has a streamlined story and goes straight into the gameplay. The enemies are really cool. The fanfare of combat is done really well..just the immediacy that the player anticipates, is not there. Have a good day!
Крива демка в кінці якої босс на 3 стадії, після якого чорний екран. Автор навіть полінився додати якісь титри або надпис "The End". Це не гра, а пародія на неї, тому палець вниз
