About
Free major update available now. Reimagined visuals, rebalanced difficulty, and a brand new Endless Mode, all included for every owner of Black Paradox.
Black Paradox is a roguelite shoot 'em up that drops you into the cockpit of a time-jumping bounty hunter, hunting down the most wanted criminals of the universe across waves of bullet-soaked chaos. Built on the language of classic arcade shooters, layered with modern progression systems, and soaked in neon-drenched retrofuture.
Every run is different. Every upgrade matters. Every boss is somebody you don't want to meet twice.
Fully redesigned visuals - Sprites, effects, UI: everything reworked from the ground up. The retrofuture aesthetic is finally where it always wanted to be.
Rebalanced difficulty - Seven years of player feedback distilled into a smoother learning curve. More inviting for newcomers, still uncompromising in the late game.
New Endless Mode - Survive escalating waves for as long as you can. Designed for "one more run" sessions that quietly become entire afternoons.
Quality of life everywhere - Performance, controls, accessibility, dozens of small fixes informed by the community.

我的XBOX ONE 手柄无法识别 但奇怪的是 到选项设置里面去看手柄却可以震动 也仅仅只能震动 其他手柄按键都没用
The devs spent all their time on the "juice", making the game look and feel like it should be satisfying, but they forgot to make a good gameplay experience underneath it. The controls feel sluggish and your ships odd shape make dodging really unintuitive.
Difficult, but fun. You will die a lot at first, but you accumulate money to buy upgrades which progressively become better as you do at playing the game.
fun game but takes way too much grinding it feels like to level up to where you can really get anywhere in the game.
I've been looking for a bullet hell game that I can play when I really don't feel like turning my brain on. This satisfies that urge. I wouldn't recommend it at full price though. There's just too little content to justify the 12,50€ asking price. Every run is kind of the same (with a bit of randomization) and the unlock progress, while a neat feature, doesn't incentivize spending any real amount of time with this game. For 3€ tho, I'd wholeheartedly recommend it as a nice little distraction for whenever you have a few minutes to pass.
Great SHMUP with some lengths at the beginning. Due to the roguelite elements the very beginning will actually be the hardest part of this game. You'll die quickly and maybe not even see the first boss. Also, the first upgrades you buy with your credits will feel like they do nothing. But then there is some point where you will farm some credits with each run, unlock more slots and get real upgrades. And that's when you can suddenly see some of the later levels. The graphics are nicely pixeled, the gameplay is smooth and the soundtrack is really good. I had to double check, though, that this is not a game from the makers of Steredenn, if you played that some things will look and feel pretty familiar.

Beat in 94 minutes. Why did I beat it in 94 minutes? Because I obtained the Swarm gun. The Swarm gun destroys bosses that are supposed to take several minutes each in mere seconds. I didn't even get a chance to look at the first boss' health bar before it exploded. Should I have been able to beat a fifteen-hour roguelite in 94 minutes? Probably not. Is it balanced? Definitely not. Did I enjoy myself? Hell yes. The music is incredible and I'm probably going to listen to this soundtrack a bunch going forward. The art is absolutely gorgeous and the color palette in every part of the game is fantastic. The character designs are super cool. The bullet patterns are beautiful and perplexing. Would I have had as good a time playing this repeatedly over the course of fifteen hours? I don't actually think I would. Get the Swarm. Obliterate everything.
