About
Bist Squad is a small 1-bit roguelite where you explore dungeons, hatch mysterious eggs, and build a team of Bists to survive all the way to the final floor… where a ruthless fight awaits you!
No tutorial. No help.
Bist Squad trusts you to figure out its mechanics on your own.
Are you ready to build the ultimate Bist Squad?
Bist Squad is a deliberately concise experience: it can be finished in under 2 hours.
Yes, technically, you could finish it and ask for a refund… 😅
But if you enjoy it and want me to keep making other games, it would mean a lot if you didn’t ❤️

Really solid gameplay loop for the price. I had fun trying to 100% the game but if you just want to finish the game and move on it takes about an hour.
I picked up Bist Squad after checking out the demo during one of the Steam Next Fests and really enjoyed it. So far I'm I'm really enjoying the full game! Yes, you can complete a run, probably on your first attempt, in under an hour as it's not especially long or too difficult. That said, I did my first run on normal, and now I'm having a blast going through on Hard using the other characters and trying to complete the collection. The graphics give strong Spectrum 16k vibes, which as someone who grew up with that and the C64 is perfect. likewise the music is simple but extremely catchy. In terms of Controls you can use keyboard or controller, but I personally find things a little easier to manage using a controller For those who haven't checked it out, the game takes places over a few floors of a randomly generated dungeon. In it, you can hatch an enrol “Bists”, little monsters that you can build up the stats of by feeding them different food items that you can find throughout the dungeon, or obtain from defeating enemy Bists. If you get two Bists of the same type (Water/Fire etc), you can evolve them into a bigger version, combining their stats. Each floor of the dungeon has it's own little gimmick to take into account and keeps thing varied despite the very short length. There are shops with additional Bists and items scattered around, as well as rooms where you can battle specific Bists you and then enrol without the need to hatch them from scratch. There's some strategy as well in relation to how many enemy Bists you fight at once, as battling more gives more rewards on victory (with the danger being you could loose you're favourite party member, and once they're gone, they're gone for good). If I had a complaint, I honestly wish there was more. I would love to see this game taken and expanded upon! More levels with different gimmicks and puzzles, more Bists and crazy boss fights, maybe some rouge-like elements where you get special buffs or de-buffs between floors, maybe an endless mode or other modifiers for those that complete a run, perhaps a story mode where you have a home base and move between different little dungeons in search of specific items or Bists for quests... honestly the concept is ripe for expansion and I hope the dev sticks with it as I'm seriously enjoying the game. Honestly it's only £1.69 and I highly recommend people give it a look and give their support, as it's this type of shorter indie experience that makes me love video games.
short little roguelike, i sadly dont see much replay value but it can pass the time and is fun if you like auto-battler esque games
Excelente Jogo de Treinar Monstros estilo Pokemon, porém com cara Roguelike de PC da Era DOS. Muito Divertido e Viciante!
