A Story-Driven Road Trip with Emotional Weight

Summary
*Best Month Ever!* kept me engaged from start to finish thanks to its emotionally resonant story and impactful choices. While the gameplay is light—mostly walking and interacting—the narrative explores mature themes through a flip-flopping perspective between mother and son. This dual framing adds a layer of parental influence that deepens the consequences of your decisions. Pros • Strong narrative momentum that carries through the full game • Multiple endings with meaningful choices • Ethical framing around difficult moments (e.g., child driving or handling a gun) • Option to disable quick time events for accessibility • Parental perspective adds depth not often seen in choice-driven games Cons • Gameplay is minimal and mostly passive • Some intense scenes (e.g., abuse) may be uncomfortable, though not graphic • Certain interactions are forced, limiting player agency in key moments • Limited accessibility options beyond QTE toggle
If you’re looking for a narrative game that explores tough choices through a unique lens of parental influence, *Best Month Ever!* delivers a memorable experience. It’s not about challenge—it’s about reflection.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

"Being an adult means making decisions." "Tough decisions." "Life leads us on various journeys." "Unexpected" "Unwanted" "Journey we may not be ready for but we persevere." "for the ones we love."
Polecam wypikali murzynów ale i tak polecam
I picked up this game when it was on sale and before purchasing it, i had already read game description and some reviews and, seen community hub. So i somehow knew that my emotions and judgements would be high while playing this game and hence i tried to keep them at bay and tried to play this game with open mind. I completed the game in around 3.6 hrs and got a very good ending. The developer has tried to include many touchy subjects in the game and i feel that in such a short game they have not been able to devout sufficient time to any such subject. I find Louise and her sister as the most developed and human like characters in the game, and reconciliation between them, was the highlight of this game, to me. Many other characters feels one sided (either very good or very bad) and i feel that they could have been developed further, to make the game play stronger. However, this game is still one of my best purchases on steam and i feel that after playing this game i gained some new perspectives about human life and society. At last i will say that towards the end, the game becomes very emotional and so be prepared for it.
incredibly boring, voice acting lacking. Script not there
the game is so buggy
Très bon jeu narratif, assez court. Louise, une mère extraordinaire
i actually liked the story idea but the voice acting is awful in my opinion. when the characters talk to each other it doesn't feel like they are talking, just feels like some people are reading off of a script which is a huge bummer.
Boy, this was a hard game to get through. While I did like the themes that were shown, the game fell short in many categories. The mechanics were so hard to control, the dialogue was god-awful and made me want to smash my head into a wall, the voice acting was some of the worst I have ever heard in a game, and the characters were just plain unlikable. This game had me sighing and cringing the whole time.
