В целом игра неплохая, имеет потенциал (который раскрыли во второй части), но играть в нее довольно таки скучно. Нет ощущения цельности сюжета, до хоррора как такового не дотягивает, и в итоге получается что-то между этими характеристиками, и получается это плохо. Вся игра это тупо: сделай это, сбегай туда, убей того. И удовольствие вы от этих действий на получите, ведь это либо сюжет так плохо прописан, либо повествование хромает. Так же непонятно зачем введены некоторые персонажи, а точнее один конкретный: Сэмми. Ну появился он несколько раз в сценах, толку то от него? Для меня он даже не играет роль инструмента, чтобы что-то продемонстрировать игроку. Вот уберите его из игры, абсолютно ничего не поменяется, так ещё и нормального раскрытия персонажа нет. Так же стоит отметить озвучку. Она ОЧЕНЬ хромает. Почти все персонажи безэмоциональные. По ощущениям гг вообще все равно что с ним происходит, он абсолютно никакой испуг или ужас не проявляет. Элисон уже получше, но все равно не так хорошо, а вот Сэмми и Алиса играют уже НАМНОГО лучше, чем все остальные. Концовка....ну, на деле спорно. Нет ощущения законченности. Уж не знаю, планировалась ли вторая часть изначально, но если рассматривать первую отдельно, то концовка фигня. Даже несмотря на все это поиграть стоит, хотя бы ради того, чтобы потом пройти вторую часть. А может, вам понравится даже и первая

I tried pretty hard to keep playing this. the atmosphere is interesting and the art direction and voice acting is enjoyable but the gameplay mechanics are non-existent and frustrating. The 'now fetch this thing, bring me this thing, find a way around the blocked staircase' etc is repetitive and frustrating because the character movement is so slow and unsatisfying.
