Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 7 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Clock in and discover the dark secret behind one of the world’s favorite canned meat brand in Beef, a surreal horror experience like no other.
It is your very first day at "Silver Quality" Factory. In your first day as an operator, your job is simple: ballance temperatures, cut and shred any lump of meat you find in the line of production, and to ensure every pack of sausage meets the legendary "Silver Quality" that made this brand grow to become to popular!
But the Silver Quality Factory wasn't built on hard work alone. Between the gears and the meat, voices cry out from the vents. When the machinery shifts, you’ll find yourself hearing things, seeing things... And asking yourself if you really are alone.
Your first day in this job: Do your best! There's nothing wrong... Ignore those noises... Just do your best!
A Descent into Darkness: Can you solve the puzzles of a dark, dungeon-like environment where you might not be alone?
The Shadow Road: Survive a high-speed gauntlet of beasts illuminated by the flickering thunder.
A Legacy at Stake: Uncover the truth about Earl Goldfin and save the lost souls beyond the cold factory walls.
Like the good old times: "Beef" was developed with low poly graphics, mimicking the aestethic of classic console and PC games.

Be sure to check out "DaRevieweD", y'know THAT brutally honest yet beloved Steam curator that you haven't followed yet!?
PROS;
+ Gameplay really boils down to brief exploration segments where you examine objects of interest. However, a large and integral part of the experience amounts to a small variety of minigames which include your factory duties of slicing up... beef with a circular saw controlled via your mouse while avoiding the unwanted bits a la Tetris. Then troubleshooting said apparatus when it overheats with a console by lining up patterns in the right order and way. Before you're met with some otherworldly navigation whilst evading a nefarious being sensitive to noise! There's even a
rhythm game
of sorts for the final encounter. Quite an array of ingredients to be finished off within less than an hour and all for $3 bucks!? A real steal of a treat if ya ask me~ + The visuals are stellar and just a PS1-esque feast...! It's a hark back to that era of look where it's sort of low-poly but not quite? I've always been bad at words! There's even a clever little nod, wink, and finger gun in terms of damning environments. A horror scene straight out of Silent Hill or something! Luckily, this title will fill you up on nostalgia pretty quick, and no further explanation is thus necessary. You'll know it when you see it~ + The soundscape is tender & juicy, oozing of a slow burn descent into purgatory or something crazy! Starts off fairly soft and chill then it ramps up into schizophrenic episodes before all hell is raised! I recall the last track being particularly rocking as well as awfully memorable to consume~ + Is it scary? I don't know... Is murder? Don't answer that. You be the judge. I have a better question for ya- are you ready to have your entire stance on eating meat reversed? After finishing this and licking the plate clean, I am now a honorary vegan cleared of acne and toxins, committed to correct the mistakes of my ancestors. Kidding! But there's a sliver or truth in there somewhere. It's up to you now, do it for me, FOR US~
CONS;
- There's a super prominent "out-of-body" experience after you're done interacting with the computer or any of the newfangled technology! Specifically, whenever text is done being present on screen, you'll find that you have lost control of your character and you have to left-click the screen to regain that agency. It's similar to when you juggle and between swap your open windows, sound is zoned out and time has frozen. It's creepy, sure but I don't think you should sell that feature of the product~ - I could see the twist of the story coming from miles away. Which isn't necessarily a terrible thing, that's how subversion of expectations tend to be orchestrated. Yes, I was slightly off but I got the main beats of the tragedy down. The other elephant in the room isn't exactly tied to content as it is more on delivery and pacing. Squeezing and stuffing so many reveals in mere minutes leaves no room for curious minds to digest...! - This is probably the biggest shocker of all. No fail states! Well, to be accurate there are, but they open the game up to riducule and anticlimactic moments. It is practically impossible to die unless you're really trying to do so, which is in itself pretty counterintuitive. When you do "die" though, you get a plain and nonchalant end screen and just get whisked to the main menu losing all progress, at least I think you do when you bomb at the first meat-slicing minigame! Not sure about the rest of the game though, yikes!! There's also one section involving the wandering baddie I mentioned where getting discovered by it has you bleed and collapse but you don't lose any progress.... In fact, I'm not even sure what really happened. It just spawns elsewhere? This makes the nemesis less of a threat and more of just a mild nuisance, if even that. Honestly, this element of the game is the least thought out. It ruins immersion and logic~
BUGS;
x On one playthrough, I could not interact with the screen despite it flashing endlessly indicating to me to do so. x The same text kept repeating and I couldn't advance.
NITPICKS;
~ Quite a few misspellings and other innocent typos. ~ Full keyboard support would benefit the minigames!
VERDICT:
"Beef is at times like a half-baked product flawed across several criteria. But then other times it is properly cooked and incredibly well-seasoned. However, after all that's been said and done, the highly affordable price for the very proportional fill makes this a no-brainer must have~" 3 out of 5 Cans Sincerely, Chen Ying

Cute game, short but dealing with horrifying subject matter. A shame that there could be parallels in the real world. Reasonable price for a short experience. I'd say buy it if you like supporting indie devs. Hope to see more polished work from them in the future.
Beef is a rough and cryptic horror game that still manages to entertain pretty well, even though it isn't anything all that special. Its biggest strength definitely lies in its rough visual style. It really reminded me of the surreal style used by Vidas Games. The models, environments, and overall presentation all feel fleshy, dirty, and just plain coarse. It's a style that really helps the game stand out. Sadly, it's not without its flaws. The gameplay is relatively monotonous and starts dragging on after a while. The boss fight especially feels like it's only there to artificially increase the playtime instead of adding anything meaningful. The story is also much more straightforward than the presentation makes it seem. While the game presents itself in a cryptic way, the actual plot is fairly obvious from the beginning. Even with all that, I still finished the game feeling more satisfied than disappointed. It's a short experience that doesn't overstay its welcome, and if you enjoy horror games in general, I'd say it's worth giving it a try, especially considering the price.
[Recieved a free copy from the developer. Thanks!] Pros - Gameplay. Sometimes another in that subgenre of "doing things in a small" room, like Iron Lung, The Zhukov Line, and that one from Unsorted Horror. It's not just that though, which I like, they did put some more effort into a variety of gameplay. I like the bit near the end. Reminds me of the end of the original Devil May Cry. - The PSX graphics look quite nice, especially near the end. - Decent enough music. Cons - Not good at being subtle. That's important for the buildup of tension. Oh, that's just a ghost. Oh, thats a monitor saying "help me help me help me". You gotta ease this stuff in a little slower, or more subtly. - I had an issue where when I hit Escape to go to pause the game, I wasn't able to move again. So I had to restart the game. No saving by the way. Might be a Proton/Linux thing, might not be. I did redo it and beat the game though. - I like how it switches up the gameplay, but it's never really all that complex. Move side to side to dodge things. First person walking sim. Turn dials. It can get a little repetitive sometimes. I respect the effort though. - Sometimes the text types a little too fast and then immediately goes to the next line, it'd be better if you had to click before it advances. - You've seen the Steam page. Guess what the twist is? I don't even need to say what it is. - If you at all plan on playing this, don't unspoiler this part:
You can't really die or fail unless you're really trying to. I don't think the health bar ever went down.
- A few typos here and there. Fair enough if it was originally in a different language. - Audio issues. During the first person horror segment the sound of a large machine would just cut out if you got far enough away. - The TV static effect on your vision doesn't look very good. It doesn't fade in or out, it just turns on and off and makes it a little too hard to see. Usually that'd matter, but
you avoid the monster that causes it by standing still and doing nothing.
I have issues but they're all too small for me to not recommend the game. It's cheap, a little underbaked in places but it does some interesting things. Good! 6/10.

Nice short experience. Great for a first 3D project! Could use a little work on the text going WAY to fast for some of the scenes. A well put together game otherwise, and a delightfully dark story to boot. I hope you keep working on more projects like this one. :D
